The second light infantry, sometimes called the War-Boars, led the way. We civilians followed in their wake, taking fewer of the arrows. No, not because the War-Boars took them in our stead. Or not in that manner, at least. You don't need to be an Arminger to unlock the Shield tree feats.
Their shields moved as if by magic, snapping arrows out of the sky. Some, of course, found their marks, but far fewer that luck alone would account for. Four heartbeats, five.
When their shout ran out of air, they merely inhaled and began the screaming charge again.
Surprisingly easy to make into two chapters. However, I've lost my lead chapters over the weekend. I'll get back to that, but not today.
Work, which pays for luxuries such as dinner rolls, is being demanding. By which I mean half my time is taken up by meetings, but I'm still expected to get in a full day's work.
