Chapter 2: CAHPTER 2

Kim Jisoo is driving her grey BMW to school. The ride from Lisa's apartment to the university was rather awkward, thanks to Chaeng's non-stop sighs and impatient tapping of fingers on her lap as if the girl is contemplating something. It's not helping that the redhead is wearing a freaking skirt as well. She quickly glanced at Chaeng, who is now running her hands through her red hair which Jisoo finds weirdly attractive. Jisoo is feeling uneasy as hell. She had never been like this for a long time now and she doesn't know why she's feeling odd all of a sudden. She would rather choose to bicker with Chaeng just like what they always do than to be in this silent, awkward situation she is in right now.

She thinks it started earlier back in Lisa's apartment. Of course the timing is wrong when she decided to just barge into Lisa's room, when Chaeng and Lisa were in a cuddling position. That was hella awkward. Well, it looks like Chaeng is doing more of the cuddling and Lisa's just letting herself to be cuddled. 𝙀𝙚𝙚𝙬. There's nothing wrong with what they're doing, but why the hell should Chaeng be so damn good looking in her bed hair? 𝙊𝙠𝙖𝙮. 𝙏𝙝𝙖𝙩'𝙨 𝙚𝙣𝙤𝙪𝙜𝙝. 𝙎𝙣𝙖𝙥 𝙤𝙪𝙩 𝙤𝙛 𝙞𝙩, 𝙆𝙞𝙢 𝙅𝙞𝙨𝙤𝙤. 𝙇𝙞𝙨𝙖 𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙠𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙮𝙤𝙪. 𝙏𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙞𝙨 𝙣𝙤𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜. 𝙄𝙩'𝙨 𝙟𝙪𝙨𝙩 𝙬𝙚𝙞𝙧𝙙 𝙨𝙚𝙚𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙝𝙚𝙧 𝙖𝙜𝙖𝙞𝙣. 𝙍𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩. She mentally noted to knock first before entering someone's room again and maybe having a duplicate of Lisa's keys is a bad idea after all. She then glanced again at the redhead but regretted it because Chaeyoung's frustrated face looks so freaking adorable. 𝙁𝙪𝙘𝙠. She couldn't take it anymore. She quickly pulled over at the side of the road, pressing the breaks so suddenly, causing both of them to jerk forward. If not for the seat belts, they would have been outside the car by now, through the windshield of course.

"WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT??!", Chaeng practically yelled. "Are you insane?? What is your problem??"

Jisoo raised an eyebrow. "Me? Well, let me ask you that. What the fuck is YOUR problem?", she threw the question back to the redhead.

Chaeng shot her a confused look.

"You are restless as fuck and it seems like you are on edge or something and you are not even saying a damn word about it. Just fucking spill it. You're driving me nuts.", she said. The last sentence is very true though.

Chaeng let out a sigh. She was really thinking about it even before she showed up to Lisa's apartment last night but she didn't have the chance to bring it up to the blonde. She knows it will just lead into another argument. But now, she made up her mind. After her talk earlier with Jisoo, she had made her decision.

"It may sound insane but I would really be grateful if you'd help me with this.", she started. "I want to....", her voice hesitating. She's still having second thoughts if she should tell Lisa this directly or have Jisoo's opinion first. Either way, it would be up to Lisa's final say of course.

Jisoo raised an eyebrow, waiting for Chaeng to spill whatever that's in her fucking mind right now.

"I want to join the hood.", she finished.

Jisoo blinked. Twice.

---------------

Lisa parked her Ducati SuperSport at her usual spot in the school's parking lot. The normal 20-minute drive from her apartment was just 8 minutes for her, thanks to her insanely fast driving. She would occasionally encounter angry traffic officers along the way, yelling for her to stop but they never get to catch her anyways. She knows one day, she'll eventually get a ticket for violating traffic rules. Not that she minds it though. She knows she can immediately get away with it. She locked her bike for security even though she knows that no one will even dare to touch her motorcycle. The blonde smirks to herself as she gives the bike a pat. She leaned her back on her baby, (yes, her bike) waiting for Jisoo to park her car. She can see the grey vehicle pulling over to her usual spot as well. She can already feel the eyes of some of the students in the area, gawking at her bike? Or herself? She doesn't have any idea. But if it's about her bike, she can't blame them. Hell, her bike is the true definition of sexy and gorgeous with it's beautiful white and red layouts.

She just really wants this day to be over. Heck, she wants this whole school year to be over. She hates school and she really doesn't have a plan to finish college because what's the point? People won't be living in real life applying the formulas of Calculus in their everyday living. Jisoo forced her to enlist, saying that it could somehow help with the business as they are taking up Business Management. Plus, you know college students nowadays, they really have a lot of connections with illegal things. Besides, they've just started the business here in South Korea and everything is going smoothly. They haven't made any large transactions yet but they're taking baby steps. Better enjoy the days that everything's still doing fine cause she knows one day, it will be a mess again. She tried to push these thoughts away for now.

Jisoo and Chaeng walked over to her and the three started walking to the main campus. The look on Jisoo's face tells that the two had been bickering again earlier. She didn't have to ask because she knows Jisoo will fill her up later. And there's Chaeng. She sighed heavily. She doesn't wanna think about it for now but she wants to come up with a plan soon.

Jisoo was clearly not happy about her conversation with Chaeng. She thinks the redhead is crazy for having such a decision so suddenly.

𝐄𝐧𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐟𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐡𝐛𝐚𝐜𝐤.

"Lisa..", Jisoo called softly as they walked side by side. Lisa raised an eyebrow to her, waiting for her to continue her sentence. "We need to talk later.", she said in a serious tone. She needs to give the blonde a heads up about Chaeng's stupid ideas.

"No, we need to talk first, Lisa-yah.", Chaeng countered. She was on Lisa's left side and Jisoo is on the right. She needs to talk to Lisa first before Jisoo could. Jisoo is way too loyal to Lisa and she knows the girl would be giving Lisa a heads up about her joining the hood. She's really sick of these two being so protective and Lisa making all of the decisions for her. She doesn't need to be protected. She can definitely handle herself well.

Jisoo immediately shot her a glare and she glared back at the brunette.

Lisa watched the two curiously. She gave Jisoo a look saying 'You better tell me what's going on.' which Jisoo answered with a look saying 'I'll tell you later.' Sometimes, Lisa thinks Jisoo is somewhat like a psychic or something because the girl clearly reads her eyes without her saying a word.

Jisoo sighed. These are all too much for her first day of school and they haven't even finished a class yet. She can also feel the stares that these young girls loitering around the campus at them. She can't blame them though, she knows it is very hard not to notice Lisa's incredibly good looks. When they first entered this university a year ago, she told Lisa to keep their profile low. They'll just go here like normal college students, finish fucking school and that's it. Little did she know that it was easier said than done. The moment they stepped inside the campus grounds, students can't help themselves but to gawk at Lisa's features. The girl was undeniably stunning. No wonder wherever Lisa goes, you can practically hear some girls giggling and squealing just by being in her presence. Well, technically, some of those were her fangirls and fanboys but yeah, mostly was Lisa's. Unlike her, who practically entertains every human being who tries to hit on her, Lisa blocks anyone who dares to invade her personal space. Most of Lisa's admirers are just keeping their feelings to themselves as they are afraid to even go near the ice beauty.

Jisoo smiles back to the young girls waving at her, eliciting giggles from them as they walk. Chaeng is giving her the looks, while Lisa doesn't really seem to care.

A younger girl, probably a junior, approached her, a blush evident on the girl's cheek. The three stopped walking to check what the girl wanted. She is holding a fancy small black paper bag with a pink ribbon on it.

"J-Jisoo-sshi. .", the girl stuttered.

"Uh. Hi? How can I help you?", Jisoo smiled at her, flashing her perfectly white teeth. The girl's face turned red.

"T-this i-is for you.. U-uh cookies.. I baked it today.", The girl said shyly. 𝘼𝙬𝙬. 𝘾𝙪𝙩𝙚. The girl reached out her hand that held the fancy paper bag to Jisoo.

"Really? Oh thanks! I'm sure these are good.", Jisoo said as she accepts the gift. She can practically see Chaeng through her peripheral vision, frowning at her.

The girl nodded shyly. "Y-you're welcome. I h-hope you enjoy it. I need to go n-now."

"Oh okay. Thanks again. You're such a cutie.", Jisoo said, pinching the girl's cheek playfully.

The younger girl gasped at Jisoo's action, her eyes trying to land on anything that is not Jisoo. She's kinda having a mini heart attack right there and then. 𝙂𝙤𝙩𝙘𝙝𝙖, Jisoo mentally smirked, knowing she plays this game so damn well. The girl slowly walked away, trying to conceal her mental squeals at the moment.

Lisa scoffed, clearly not interested with what's happening. She then continues walking to where their classroom is.

"You, Kim Jisoo, is such a flirt.", Chaeng said as she walks alongside Lisa again.

Jisoo furrowed her eyebrows. "What did I do? I just accepted a gift. It would be rude not to. I am not Lisa.", she said, causing Lisa to give her a death glare. "I mean, it would really be rude if you know, not to accept it. She clearly made an effort on this one.", she explained, not wanting to be the receiving end of such death glare.

"You're clearly keeping her hopes up, flirt.", Chaeng said in a dispassionate tone.

"I am not.", she countered. "Well, a little maybe. But why the hell do you care?", and they are back with their bickering moments.

"I don't.", Chaeng rolled her eyes.

They managed to arrive at the room for their first class five minutes before the class would actually start.

"I'll see you later. My class is this way.", Chaeng gave Lisa a sweet smile then glared at Jisoo one last time before walking to the opposite way of the corridor.

---------------

Jennie Kim has just finished her meeting with the University Student Council. She doesn't know why but she's feeling a bit excited on going to her classes today. Normally, after these long meetings with the council or the school's admin, she would just calmly finish her tea, not minding the time as she knows that the professors would just let her slide for being late. They know her duties, being the president and all. She has tons of paper work and meetings to attend to and that is why they're letting her be excused when she needs to. But of course, being Jennie Kim herself, she doesn't want to take advantage of her position in school. It's just that sometimes, she wants to relax herself from all the stress by indulging to her favorite drink, which is tea. But today, Jennie did not drink her usual tea, she was in a hurry.

She carefully gathered the folder of the transferee students from last year and the current school year which she scanned quickly a while ago and placed it on the shelf at the right corner of her office. She opened the drawer under her desk and got the books she needed for her class. She then placed it back again when she realized that they are not yet to have regular classes for today. It's the first day, and no one takes the first day seriously. Normally, it would just be the students introducing themselves to the professors and vice versa.

After putting the books she'll not be needing for today, Jennie checks the things inside her bag when a sudden knock was heard on her office door. "Please come in.", she called. The door swung open and Jennie turned to face the person who entered.

A guy, who has a charming smile brighter than the sun, walked into the office. "Sorry to disturb you Ms. President, but the Vice President wants me to check if you are now ready?", the handsome guy asked.

"Oh, I am not yet ready, Eunwoo-sshi. The first class for all courses is about to start and you should go ahead now to your respective classes, same with the VP as well. I'll just meet you up again guys later for the discussion of the orgs' budget.", Jennie said as she smiled sweetly to her Secretary. If Eunwoo's dashing smile is brighter than the sun, Jennie's smile is brighter than the galaxy, which of course consists of gazillions of suns and stars combined altogether. "And I've noticed you've been addressing me so formally today. Is something wrong?", she asked. Close friends can call her by her first name though.

"Uh nothing. It's just.. you look more powerful today.", Eunwoo said. Jennie shot him a confused look. What I mean is, you freakin radiates authority. How do you do that? It's like you can order me to jump in a building and I would happily obliged.", Eunwoo explained.

Jennie chuckled at her Secretary's words. "Eunwoo-sshi is saying funny things ne? Go ahead now and I know you do not want to miss your first class.", the brunette smiled back to him again.

"Are you sure? We can just wait for y----"

"RUBY JANE!!", Eunwoo was cut off by a certain angry girl who stormed inside Jennie's office.

"Oh hi. Irene must be excited?", Jennie beamed to the girl.

"Stop fooling around Jennie. Are you coming or what?", said Irene, her Vice President.

"I believe we do have different classes, yes? You should now head to yours and I will just go to mine after fixing my things up.", said the President, still smiling.

"Are you sure?", Irene asked, frowning, crossing her arms over her chest.

"Of course.", answered Jennie as she continued to prepare her things. 𝙊𝙝 𝙢𝙮. 𝙄 𝙢𝙪𝙨𝙩 𝙝𝙪𝙧𝙧𝙮. 𝙄𝙩 𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙗𝙚 𝙖 𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙮 𝙗𝙖𝙙 𝙞𝙢𝙖𝙜𝙚 𝙞𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙋𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙞𝙙𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙨 𝙞𝙣 𝙡𝙖𝙩𝙚, 𝙮𝙚𝙨?

"Okay. But be sure you'll be quick. We do not want the students to think that the Council's the number one when it comes to tardiness. Especially on the first day.", Irene said.

"Of course, Irene-sshi. I am still aware of the oath I took when I sat in this office.", Jennie gave her another smile. This girl will never run out of smiles.

Irene breathed heavily as she realized she was nagging her friend too much. Sometimes, she forgets that she's speaking with the President, which is a position still higher than hers and addresses Jennie as just her best friend. It is fine with Jennie though, but sometimes she thinks she really needs to work on her temper.

"Apologies, Ms. Pres. We will go ahead now. Just send us a message if there is something we need to discuss.", the older girl said as her features softened to Jennie.

Jennie smiled warmly, nodded and waved them goodbye. She watched Irene drag Eunwoo out and finally closed the door behind them.

A few more minutes passed and Jennie was ready to go. She grabbed her phone and typed a quick message.

JEN: Nay, where are you?

NAYEON: Room, Jen. Hurry up. The prof will be here any time soon.

JEN: Save me a seat. I am on my way.

She then strode off her presidential office, locking the door behind her.

---------------

Lisa decided to sit near the window, overlooking the soccer field of the school. It really calms her eyes, mind and soul whenever she looks at something green. Sometimes, it is a good escape as well from the boring topic that they are having in class.

Jisoo sat on the seat beside her and was patiently waiting for the professor and for her classmates to fill the empty seats. She suddenly felt the urge to talk to Lisa now about Chaeng.

"Lisa..", she called, causing Lisa to turn her head to Jisoo from staring outside the window. She looked rather pissed about the interruption of the brunette to her moments of spacing out.

𝘾𝙖𝙣 𝙨𝙝𝙚 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙗𝙚 𝙨𝙤 𝙜𝙧𝙪𝙢𝙥𝙮 𝙖𝙡𝙡 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙛𝙪𝙘𝙠𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙞𝙢𝙚? "This is about Chaeng, you menopausal woman. Chill the fuck out. It's like you wanted to kill somebody always.", Jisoo said, causing Lisa to furrow an eyebrow. "Okay, okay, fine fine. What I'm trying to say is I think Chaeyoung is out of her mind. She said she wants to join the hood."

"What?", Lisa asked. She heard it the first instance but she just wants to clarify if she heard it right.

Jisoo was practically relieved to know that Lisa still knows how to speak. She's starting to worry that Lisa has a speech defect already or something. "Oh thank goodness. I miss your voice.", she teased.

"Fuck you.", Lisa spat.

"Yep. I know you wanted to.", she winked, causing Lisa to growl annoyingly.

Jisoo chuckled at Lisa's expression.

"Stop fooling around."

Jisoo returned to her serious face realizing Lisa is not very much interested in the teasing. "I told you already. Chaeng wants to join us. I told her no though and I said you won't even agree as well. She's crazy."

Lisa pondered this for a moment. She was kinda expecting that Chaeng would likely join the business but she was taken aback by the sudden decision. If it's all up to her, she would just lock Chaeng in a room just to keep her safe but she knows that's not possible as the redhead has a mind of her own. 𝙏𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙞𝙨 𝙛𝙪𝙘𝙠𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙝𝙖𝙧𝙙.

Jisoo eyed her curiously. She was expecting Lisa to react negatively but the blonde just kept her poker face in place. 𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙞𝙨 𝙨𝙝𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙠𝙞𝙣𝙜? "Don't tell me you are considering it? That's fucked up, Lisa."

These are the possibilities that Lisa is avoiding for quite sometime now. Is Lisa really trying to consider it? Yes. And why? She's really not sure if keeping Chaeng away makes her totally safe. She could keep an eye on the girl if they're together most of the time and it's not like Chaeng is a weakling for this kind of business. Hell, the girl's aim with a gun is good and she knows how to do hand to hand combat as well. They've undergone Muay Thai training together for years and she's sure that the redhead could definitely kick some ass if she just puts herself into it. But then again, the business is no joke. There will be a life and death situation and it's a pretty dangerous job to do. She just wants Chaeng to live her normal life, away from the dark and dirty life that she is in right now. But can that really be avoided? No, it can't. Knowing that they are already bound to each other, it cannot be avoided. But what if really Chaeng wants to join? Like it is what she really wants to do with her life? Does she really have a say on that? All their life together, she's always the one deciding for them. She always tells Chaeng what to do and what not to. She thinks it's time now to hear Chaeng out.

Lisa was in her deep thoughts that she hadn't even noticed that the professor was already in front. She doesn't care anyways.

"I think it's time for her to decide on her own.", Lisa said.

"Are you serious?", Jisoo asked, not believing Lisa's really letting this to happen. She sighed heavily, knowing that once Lisa said it, it's final. She really doesn't want Chaeng to be in the hood as it's a different and serious case. "Well, whatever. I know you have reasons for this but yeah.. whatever.", she sighed in defeat. They are practically talking while the prof is also talking in front.

"I want you to guide her. Teach her the details. She already knows how it works but I want you to train her more.", Lisa said, her eyes fixated outside the window again.

"Tss. Fine.", Jisoo muttered under her breath as she crossed her arm over her chest.

Just then, while their professor was rambling something about a small introduction of Algebra, 𝙒𝙖𝙞𝙩. 𝙒𝙝𝙮 𝙙𝙤 𝙬𝙚 𝙝𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙖𝙣 𝘼𝙡𝙜𝙚𝙗𝙧𝙖 𝙘𝙡𝙖𝙨𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙮𝙬𝙖𝙮𝙨?, Jisoo thought but then her thoughts and her professor's rambling was interrupted by a knock and the door swinging open, revealing a girl, no, a lady rather, that has a face and body qualified to be a Chanel's model and ambassador.

Lisa noticed that their professor literally stopped talking and Jisoo went silent. She then turned her gaze from outside of the window towards Jisoo. Her best friend has her eyes in front of the class, mouth slightly opened. She then eyed her classmates and everyone is doing the same. 𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙛𝙪𝙘𝙠 𝙞𝙨 𝙬𝙧𝙤𝙣𝙜 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙢? She followed their gazes which led to the classroom door. She then saw a girl. Yeah just a normal girl peering out of the door. Okay, scratch that. The girl's features look somewhat angelic or whatever and she's clearly above an average girl that she usually sees inside the university, but what's the big deal with her?

"Good morning Mr. Chung.", the girl greeted the professor, her voice sending chills down Lisa's spine but she barely even noticed it. "I am very sorry that I am late. I tried to catch up on time, but something held me up in the office.", she explained, smiling warmly to the professor.

The professor, who seemed to be entranced with the girl's beauty as well, gestured to the girl to come in. "It is fine Ms. President. Please find a vacant seat.", the prof smiled back.

𝙊𝙝. 𝙎𝙝𝙚'𝙨 𝙞𝙢𝙥𝙤𝙧𝙩𝙖𝙣𝙩?

"You're so kind, Mr. Chung. Kamsahamnida.", the girl said, slightly bowing her head for respect to the elder man then she strode ever so gracefully towards the vacant seat in front of Jisoo.

Lisa, who's starting to feel nauseated with everything that's happening, turned her gaze again outside the window, clearly finding the green soccer field grass much more interesting than the girl.

"L-Lisa....", Jisoo managed to mutter, eyes still not leaving the lady who entered. She got no response from the blonde. "Lisa...", she muttered again, effectively tapping Lisa with her pointer finger while she watched the lady proceed to the seat in front of her.

Lisa shot her a look asking 'What' the actual fuck is wrong with you?'

"We are fucking classmates with Jennie Ruby Jane Kim."

CREATORS' THOUGHTS
wanhyuniie wanhyuniie

Jennie is in the house peeps! And yeah, Lisa is a one grumpy girl. I know. Please bear with her for now. I find Jisoo's character cool here. And oh, by the way, since this is an AU fic, Jennie's height in this universe is leveled with Lisa. Idk, I think her character will suit her more if she's taller. I'm thinking of putting a specific color in each of the four member's eyes as it will help describe the character more. Tell me if I should go for it and please suggest what color suits each of them. Anyways, I'm already working with chapter 3 and who knows if it contains JenLisa interaction already.

Thank you for reading Blinks! All hail JenLisa and ChaeSoo!!
