Chapter 36: Puked on someone 2

Wei Chujiu's mouth widened in shock when she saw the actions of her best friend. There was no way she wouldn't recognize who that person was. After all, she knew all the friends of her cousin brother and their various personalities. Though, she did not have a very close relationship with the group of friends.

'Am I no longer going to have a best friend anymore? Wait! Why do I feel this is my fault?' Wei Chujiu thought to herself. A sense of dread overtook her when she thought about the turn of events that were about to happen.

Zhu Yunqing, on the other hand, was not aware of what she had just done until she had finished spewing out all her guts on a certain someone who seemed like a block of unmoving ice.

She had never suffered motion sickness during her time as an empress since she always rode in a palanquin. Wei Chujiu drove so fast that Zhu Yunqing starting feeling her breakfast at her throat, ready to burst out.

When she finished, she wiped her mouth with the back of her hand. That was when she finally saw the pair of legs clothed in black trousers in her view. One of the person's shoes and a portion of his trousers were covered in her breakfast that she had just spewed out while the other leg had splashes of it.

Zhu Yunqing couldn't help but want to dig her way into the ground and bury herself in it.

Was she really that clumsy?

Or did she just like embarrassing herself? Because she seemed to be doing a lot of that since she awakened at this time.

Shen Zihao's stoic expression became as dark as his midnight black hair as soon as Zhu Yunqing spewed her breakfast on him.

Wasn't she too daring to do that?

Does she have a death wish?

These were the thoughts going through Shen Zihao's assistant, Wang Li, and the group of bodyguards' minds.

Without saying a word, Shen Zihao took a step back as he gave the petite woman who still had her head lowered in his way a cold and dangerous glare.

Zhu Yunqing was so afraid and anxious when Shen Zihao took a step back. So, she frantically lifted her head. Immediately her gaze met the intimidating and cold glare of Shen Zihao. She felt chills run down her spine. But within a split second, Shen Zihao's cold look had changed and had a look of recognition on it. His facial features had softened.

Zhu Yunqing was a bit dumbfounded at the quick change of expression, but she didn't dwell much on that as she had to apologize to the handsome man right away. Zhu Yunqing had to admit his level of handsomeness could easily beat anyone from her past life. Including a certain someone, she would rather not mention and regretted meeting in her past life.

Shen Zihao had recognized her from that night. She was not able to recognize him because she never saw his face at that time.

Shen Zihao was never one to forget a face even if he had only seen it once. Those passionate green eyes that seemed like they could twirl the world with one blink also did not make it easy for him to forget her ever since he saw her.

For a while, he could not tell whether he was happy or disturbed that he got to meet her once again because of how much his emotions were affected by her.

Someone once told him that he was someone that was incapable of feeling and that he had a cold heart. Some even wondered if he had a heart. If that were true. Then, what were this twirling and light feeling he felt in his chest whenever he saw this young lady (Zhu Yunqing).

At some point, he accepted everything and grew indifferent over time. He felt that was the only way he could gain total dominance in the business world. Yet, the dainty lady in front of him made him feel what even he felt he was incapable of feeling.

Though he was disturbed with how their second meeting seemed quite awkward as his gaze left her face to his leg.

Zhu Yunqing stood up abruptly when she finally realized that she was rudely staring at Shen Zihao.

"I… did not mean to do that. I-I am so… so sorry!" Zhu Yunqing stuttered what seemed like an apology. Her face had a sweet smile as she apologized.

Her smile was like a sudden beam of sunlight lighting up the darkest corners of Shen Zihao's heart.

Suddenly a weak lopsided smile flickered across Shen Zihao's face like a hologram when the thought of her fleeing figure from the previous night flashed in his mind.

"Are you alright?" Shen Zihao calmly asked.

Zhu Yunqing felt a strong sense of familiarity when she heard his deep voice, but she couldn't point out where she had heard it. So her answer was a bit late as she was a bit dazed while trying to figure out where she heard the voice.

"Ye… yes! I am fine," she answered.

"Water?" Shen Zihao asked as he outstretched his hand toward his assistant, Wang Li.

Though Wang Li was shocked as he watched what was happening, he immediately understood what Shen Zihao meant and carried it out. After all, he wouldn't have lasted as President Shen's assistant for so long if he was not a very intuitive and attentive person.

He quickly handed a bottle of water he retrieved from the car to his boss. Then, Shen Zihao offered the bottled water to Zhu Yunqing. Zhu Yunqing received the bottle and immediately thanked him before running off to where Wei Chujiu stood like a statue. Wei Chujiu's eyes were almost bulging out as she watched everything that was happening.
