There were around 20 soldiers traveling with them on horses. They rode before the carriage and behind it. Some other dozens were patrolling around the route that the crown prince would be passing with his wife.
If it was up to Emmelyn, she and Mars would just go without security protocol, just the two of them. She missed going on adventures with Maxim when she was roaming Atlantea.
Now, going on adventures with her husband must definitely be better than going out with a friend, right? Unfortunately, the man she married was the future monarch of this empire.
His safety was paramount. So, she could forget about going back to a civilian's life. Everything should follow the protocol to make sure that the crown prince would be protected.
And since her baby was the next in line after Mars, then her baby should also get the same level of protection.

Missrealitybites I once visited a small and remote village on an island near Bali to assist an ambassador who was checking how the aid from his country was distributed there... and I saw tens of thousands of small yellow butterflies along the way, as we drive through a small forest.
It was truly magical.
I wish I could show it in pictures or videos, but I didn't have a sophisticated phone and the videos I took didn't do justice.
So, I figured I should share it here through my stories. I hope you can imagine the scene.
As for vineyard, my favorite one is the vineyards in Italy, especially in Toscana (Tuscany) province. Looking at them is enough to get peace of mind.
