Chapter 42: Chapter 42 Yasaka's deal 1
After ending the call, I swear I felt someone gazing at me and even though I wasn't scared that someone could attack me or better said assassinate me, I still hate the feeling of being spied on, so like any other normal human being, I start walking towards one of the most populated places in Kyoto I know and before I know the numbers of gazes keep multiplying as I made my way towards the middle of the city.
By the time I arrived at the Kyoto tower, my stalker's count has passed the fifty mark and it was alarmingly approaching the one hundred mark which to be fair was quite odd. After all, I don't think I did something that could draw this kind of attention to me. My mind control can't be detected and it only works on weaker beings like normal humans and most of the low-class beings, anything above that strength won't be influenced that much by the skill and most likely they will only feel a slight headache before forgetting about it.
Seeing that they keep coming after me even after I took them to a populated place, they still track every single movement I do and sometimes I can feel their gazes tense when I do something unexpected like picking up a rock or two and throw them randomly while at the same time, one in every twenty rocks will accidentally hit one of them right in the nuts, poor guys felt the pain of a thousand men.
I decided to see who they are and what does their leader want from me, so I walked towards a dead-end alley. I stopped right in front of the building wall and turned around only to see ten cloaked figure blocking my exit, or so they thought that little display was doing while at the same time, seventy or so clocked people were on the walls waiting for something to happen, at least that's what I think they were doing.
One of the cloaked figures that were on the ground walked a little out of the formation and stood four meters away from me before he decided to open his mouth.
"Tell me why should I let you live any longer after that little stunt you did with the humans?"
"Hmm, let me think for a second…because if my memory serves me right, someone or a group of people that deals with things like illegal trading, smuggling, and killing other people they are branded as criminals, and what I did was to put them on the right path in life. Now you answer my question: How did you manage to find out that I did something to them ?"
The man didn't talk and soon the whole conversation or interrogation become awkward, but thankfully after more than two minutes, he turned his head towards one of his friends which nodded at him, and after that, he starts talking again.
"You are lucky our lady told us to escort you to her location if you do something dangerous, stupid, or just use magic in any way. Which you did and as for how we found out, well that's because we have a secret tool that will always help us at a later date."
Did he just pull out a Mickey Mouse reference?
[It seems so, host]
"Fine, I'll meet your lady, after all, it will rude not to see the leader of the Youkais, not to mention when I'm the one entering their city."
Getting a nod from the cloaked man, I followed him towards the Youkai palace as I like to call it and when I saw the building, calling it a palace wasn't an exaggeration, nonetheless the sight was beautiful with all of the building and stands that the Youkais build and maintain over the years.
Unfortunately for me, I could sightsee the place more and a few seconds, because my escort was getting impatient with how I was reacting to the whole thing, and to be fair I was loving to piss off them because I didn't like the way they approached me, so I decided to comport myself like a child in a school trip at a museum.
The unfortunate guys that were tasked to bring me to meet their leader was so angry and at the same time helpless about their current situation. On one hand, they would love to smack my head and on the other hand, Yasaka may skin them alive if she finds out that they harmed her guest.
After walking for quite a while, I was brought in front of a huge door and the guards asked me if it was ok for them to search me for any hidden weapons I may have on my body. To be fair, I didn't expect such a thing, after all, most of the guards would have just grabbed me and start searching me without my consent…
When they were done searching me and surprisingly not found any kind of weapon on me, they opened the door for me and as a good person that loved to create chaos everywhere I go and of course, it involves the supernatural side, I will do something like giving the guards a tip as if they were bodyguards at a club or waiters at a restaurant.
Not paying attention to their confused gazes, I continue to walk into the room and the first thing that I saw, no that's the wrong word…the first thing that I felt was my head being covered by something soft which only means that Yasaka hugged my head into her beautifully matured chest while at the same time, I could barely hear the muffled cries of hers.
Sometime later, my head was unfortunately released from that wonderful feeling of having it tightly hugged into such a welcoming chest, I managed to look at the woman that welcomes me in such a way, and surprisingly for me, I blushed for the first time in my life at the charm of a mature woman, but before I could say anything Yasaka opened her mouth.
"Haru-kun, I'm so happy to finally meet you. You don't know how hard it was for me to know that you were left alone and probably scared while the culprit was left free, but I heard that he met his end."
"Yeah, it was quite a journey to find him and get his head. Unfortunately for him, arrogance doesn't save you."
Hearing my words Yasaka was surprised at first, then she became sad hearing what I did for my mother and thus I earned another hug…unfortunately this time she just hugged my body while crying once again, poor woman she must really feel sad for not having the power to do anything.
When she calmed down, I decided to talk with her about anything that may make her happy. She talked about how she met my mother and how many times both of them had to reject countless men, who were trying to sleep with them or how many times did my mother sleept walked into the pound and how she was blasting light spears everywhere thinking she was under attack. We continue to talk for more than three hours of chatting with Yasaka, I finally found the perfect moment to ask her about Kuoh.
"Yasaka-san, I want to ask you something, which may or may not anger you."
"Go ahead, Haru-kun. You can ask me anything you want."
"Then, Lady Yasaka, as the leader and founder of the Anteiku, I want to ask you if it's possible for me to buy the ownership of the town named Kuoh from the Youkai faction at a fair price, of course."
Without wasting any second, Yasaka took a piece of paper that was sitting on her desk and then she give that paper to me.
"Read it, Haru-kun."
