Chapter 105: Blood and Bonds

Bruce coughed and clenched his bleeding side as he leaned against the wall to take a breath. He didn't know how long he'd been walking, but it was clear that he was nearing his limit. If only he hadn't been drenched from the shower earlier, things wouldn't have turned out of control like this.

When he'd slipped Spencer had lunged for him with his knife picking his side, Bruce had luckily learned enough in his life to know to be careful and hide his weapons where he can reach them in moments of emergency. In a swift move, he'd pulled the knife he had under his pillow and struck at Spencer who was still recovering from his fall, the younger man had fallen clutching his injured tight and moaning in pain.
