Chapter 23: Chapter 25
Continuing episode 24…
Everyone begins to settle down and quiet down. The bride begins to walk down the aisle with her father holding her arm. Jean looks beautiful like an angel dressed in fiery flames. Her dress occupied the rest of the hall. All attention landed on our beautiful bride. Yuri is waiting for Jean underneath the arbor. His eyes were fixated on Jean unable to move. His face was as red as a tomato. It's funny I've never seen Yuri so shy, he's always got that poker face. I guess he has found the one.
I smiled and looked at Stellen, I guess I have to. It was a relief to know that I knew longer torching myself with feelings I should not have for someone who was clearly in love. I have found someone who has given me a reason to love.
I feel a chill down my spine. It felt like someone was staring at me. I turn to look around. I see that guy staring me down. I see his point on his phone and I look at it. He was logged onto his phone dialer. He must have wanted my phone number, but Stellen said I was not allowed to talk to him. I didn't give him an answer I just turned around to enjoy Jean and Yuri's wedding.
Stellen quickly let's go to my hand. He looks to the other side covering his mouth. He was trying so hard to hold his laughter, he was trying so hard that his face was nearly as blue as a blueberry. I pull on his shirt, "what's so funny?" He wouldn't answer or maybe he couldn't, I pouted and crossed my shoulders. He Patted my head then kissed my forehead.
Jean walks underneath the arbor where her dad releases her arm to take his seat. Yuri walks forward and grabs her hand. He walks her up. The ceremony can now begin. I was a little but I didn't want to sleep. I stayed up and listened. I was so focused on the ceremony that I hadn't noticed Stellen, he had his hands wrapped around me as if my life depended on it. It was warm, his embrace made me feel at ease.
Yuri finishes his vows, it was now Jean's turn to say her. I've been waiting to hear her vows because I know that she put her whole heart in her vows.
"Yuri, your love has kissed every inch of my heart. Your warm embrace feels like the warm sun embracing my heart. You are my meaning of true love and I hope I am yours."
*Sniff. Sniff*
"I love you and I'm glad you decided to love me. I am happy I get to spend the rest of my life with you."
Tears start flowing down my face. I couldn't stop crying. It just kept coming. I wasn't crying because how I used to feel I was crying her vows touched a part of my heart that has never been touched before. My heartbeat a different way, I viewed love a certain way. At that moment I realized that there was nothing I wanted more in this world than to be Stellen bright light just as he is to me.
Stelle pulled out a napkin from his pocket and he turned my face towards him. He gently wipes my tears. He doesn't say anything he just wipes my tears. I stared at him as he did so, I could tell he was avoiding my gaze. I start to look at the floor to not make him uncomfortable. He finishes and puts the napkin back in his pocket. He looks at me then pulls me closer, his arm around me, he leans into my ear. He starts to whisper. "You don't have to be scared, you can tell me what you want."
I look at him. He smiled at me heh he looked goofy but it still made my heart melt somehow.
The priest then blesses the couple, joins their hands together, and asks, "Do you take Yuri Rose as your lawful wife, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love…
Yuri looks at Jean once more, "I do."
The priest then repeats his question to Jean.
"I do"
The priest then joins their hands together and says, "The priest will then say aloud "You have declared your consent before the Church.
The groom then kisses the bride. Everyone gets up and is congratulating them. Except for Jessica, she is staring me down from across the room...
