Chapter 13: Chapter 15
*This chapter is about Jessie and Stellen.*
Two years ago…
Me and Stellen have known each other since childhood. We were always with each other. We were basically inseparable. Despite us being so compatible, we both wanted different things, we just wouldn't admit it. After high school, we ended up making things official. At the time I wasn't happy with our relationship. I wanted more than what he could offer. He put in so much effort to make me happy but all his efforts were in vain. I was not attracted to him the way he was attracted to me. I didn't have the heart to tell him that I wanted to break things off, so I pretended I was happy then I'd go out and mess around with Wyan. WYAN was Stellen's best friend. I don't know how it happened. I wanted it to stop but he made me feel a lot of things I couldn't feel with Stellen.
On my birthday things went from great to the worst day ever. At the party, I was with Stellen most of the time but I could feel When staring at me. I got a text from Wyan. i opened the message, " meet me around in the guest room. Stellen comes close to me and gives me a hug. "Who was that?" I hurry and turn off my phone. "It- it wasn't anybody important. I'll be back. I gotta umm… I gotta use the restroom.'' I hurry and go inside and head up to the guest room upstairs. My first mistake was not making sure I was followed. My second was meeting Wyan secretly. I walk into the guest room and close and lock the door. "Wyan? What do you want? Are you trying to get us caught? `` Wayne walks close to me and wraps his hands around my waist. "I just wanted to see you.'
"Are you kidding me?"
"I know. It's just hard seeing you with him. It makes me mad that you're forcing yourself to be with him so you could make him happy." I rub his head, "I know and I'm sorry. I'm going to break up with him, I promise. He leans in for a kiss.
*Knock! Knock!*
"Who's in there?" we stop what we are doing. I get all flustered. "What do we do?"
"Shhhh! We will just wait till she leaves then you'll go out first. The woman knocks on the door again and they don't answer. The woman walks away.
A couple of minutes past so she unlocks the door and walks outside. Stellen and Jean are outside the door waiting for Jessie. "I told you I saw her walk in here," Jean said. Jessie is shocked she doesn't know what to say.
"Come on out When. there's no point in hiding." Wyan comes out of the room and stands behind Jessie. Stellen laughs "Well this is certainly a surprise. My girlfriend and my best friend locked themselves in a room. What could they be doing in there? Hmmm?"
"Stellen i- I can explain…"
"SHUT UP!I- I- I-, I CAN'T EVEN LOOK AT YOU!" Stellen looks at Wyan. "Give me one good reason why you shouldn't put you six feet underground right now."
