Chapter 120: Silence

Morning came about and Histoire saw that Itsuki still had not returned. His room was still the way he had left it, with his night clothes thrown over a chair and the curtains still closed. She opened the curtains and looked out at the city. It was lively just as she knew Tokyo to be. The cars were moving at an ordinary pace and she saw a few teenagers in uniforms heading over to their schools. After cleaning up Itsuki's room including making his bed, she went back to hers, which was already cleaned.

There was not much she could engage herself in. She didn't know her way around the base and could not move about on her own, but it was an ordinary hotel which meant she could at least try to find her way about it. Before leaving, she went over to the phone on the wall. She picked up the receiver and looked down at it, trying to figure out who to call first. Naturally, Keren was the first to cross her mind and she immediately dialed her number.
