Chapter 71: Memoirs

"Margie!" I heard my father calling out "Run! Go!"

The fear in his voice was evident. He was frantically shooing me away, wanting me to save myself from the horrible massacre going on around us.

I wanted to obey his command, however, I was rooted to the spot. My legs were unable to move as my brain tried to process what I was seeing.

Takahashi was standing right behind my father, his gun pointing steadily on his head.

"To the Golden Island,"

BANG!

I gasped awake, finding myself in a dark room.

"Margie," Mikee's voice echoed in the darkness. He was sobbing.

"Margie,"

I looked around me. I couldn't see anything, my heart was beating erratically.

'Is this what blind people go through?'

I tried to scream out my brother's name. However, no voice came out of my lips.

"Margie,"

I felt desperate to find my brother. But then, the surrounding darkness made it impossible to do so.
