Absolutely love this book! I loved watching the MCs personality change from a young teen stuck with romantic issues taking on challenges he wasn’t prepared for to a grown adult capable of putting the greater planetary-scale interests before his own personal affairs. The early chapters may be a bit hard to read but if you put yourself in the MCs shoes during your hormonal years, I’m sure you will be able to relate to his issues. The overall plot is much more serious and bigger than the MC and so it’s worthwhile to stick to the book and keep reading. You won’t regret it. The writing quality has improved by leaps and bounds over the course of the book and the story is not very predictable making you wait to see how things actually turn out. The author is very interactdive in the discord community which makes it a very refreshing reading experience, you should definitely check it out.
I started this series a while back and the beginning didn’t exactly entice me but with nothing else to read I decided to give it a second chance and I’m incredibly glad I did. The series starts off rough but by the second volume it really finds its footing and starts heating up. It’s always had strongly written characters but they really started developing towards the end of the end of the first volume and I couldn’t put it down. I see a lot of negative comments when reading but I just can’t understand them, you can really feel the love the author has for writing and the characters and that is what makes for a good novel. If you tried this series before but decided to drop it I really recommend picking it back up because you are missing out my friend. Thanks to the author for building an awesome world and writing an amazing story!
Great book but author you got to progress the story you stay on arcs so much its honestly getting repetitive and o really like this book but he has been progressing on the journey to grand magus since 1398 he has been a magus forever and you still have no real plan to get him that next step.
This is by far, not exaggerating, my most favorite novel on this site. Thank you author. I hope that this story continues long into the future.
I honestly at this point quite hate the Author. Disclaimer first, It is a overall good novel, exciting/intense moments and progress. Main Character take 1400+ chapters to stop being naive, and also have girls falling for him easily but is super dense (and women problems) for also 1400+ chapters. He becomes strong progressively and power progression is pretty good. Some good CHaracters and relationships between them. But there is a lot of drama(unnecessarily at times). With that said if you read this you have to be ok with multiple story choices author make that may either upset you or bore you. I am currently dropping this Novel after 2064 chapter because of one such choice (the the message author left saying only logical choice he saw which was BS in my eyes). Author made many choices before in story that I didn't like but this time it was just plain stupid choice for drama! Otherwise if have time to burn and not to invested can be a good read. If want to get invested I honestly would not recommend but that could be cause of my bias with recent story choice. But hey maybe you will do better than me
This is just a novel that makes you hate it yet you still can’t resist reading it. Its main character is like a ping pong ball who is getting thrown around all the time never learns from his mistakes and is always getting manipulated from one person or another. He is so manipulated that even his loved ones have to throw away their freedoms or do something they hate just to save him. Moreover, the MC despite all this still remains with those he is manipulated by and I am disgusted by how the author still manages to make him appear innocent and a person who is not at fault when because of his mistakes and his ability love all the girls he comes in contact with spending not only his, but others(his lovers, friends, etc) freedom, money(that they will require to do another much more important task) just to save someone whom he barely met and also to save millions of strangers even going as far as to trade his freedom and opportunities just to save them when trillions of them die every second and he is still unable to look at the root cause of things. Moreover, even after decades he is still unable to learn from his mistakes. One example would be that his friend or him are manipulated into giving away something or someone due to a simple fact that they are unable to contact each other across vast distances yet he has not even looked into this problem also the other problem would be that he is manipulated due to being threatened by his loved ones yet, he doesn’t do anything to make sure that they are safe or will remain safe once goes on a new eandavour moreover he is easily guilt tripped into doing others bidding when it wasn’t even his fault over which he was guilt ridden. Once he isaved by someone not looking at the fact that if they truly saved him or were saving their own ass or were just denying him another opportunity he just jumps headlong into another danger which would not only harm him but also other loved ones to save them. He never does anything to save someone and make sure that others would not be harmed because he just wants to go save someone and others have to pay for his mistakes along with him. And all that I just said hasn’t just happened once but tens of times. It truly makes me hate him and I would recommend people to leave this novel when they still can as it would only raise their B.P and they would be unable to leave this novel.
So the story first, overall enjoyable for the most part but main issue is the MC later in the story, it just seems nonsensical to me that he does the same things supporting the same people who said things will chnage but nothing really changes. Just me personally but after that many betrayals and if the Nephilim regardless of if it is just 1 faction or not keeps screwing people over I would start looking for other options. My main issue with this book though is the updates, yes no one is forcing me to purchase privilege but issue here is the author starts out the month with many chapters then ends up with 1 a day if we are lucky after the first 1.5 weeks. Feels like a scam have noticed this pattern the past 2-3 months at least. The release rate can't even come close to replenishing the privilege total chapters. A month of this may be understandable but man 2-3 months and beyond ? Sorry but I for one won't be contributing anymore unless things improve. Was not like this in the past, unfortunate.

Character Development is very late and although there is no harem tag, I almost quit the series because of the harem and one of the fmc's death. The MC's personality is annoying and the romance is shit. Of course, if this can be called romance. MC doesn't take responsibility for what he said and the substories are unnecessarily long. The only good thing about the novel is the World Background. But that's all. The rest is garbage.

I advised to not read this novel if you are expecting overpowered mc . this mc is not like hero you can say side carecter , he has b level talent low blood line, etc so finally it is a slow burn novel

The book is enjoyable, but the main character is so irritating, it's almost unbearable.
The author seems to have a fetish for making the main character's journey a constant uphill battle, always setting back their progress just as they think they've made headway.

The MC is stupid. He manages to be the dumbest of all the characters in the story, even the extras.
While the story is somewhat formulaic, I think Avan's writing style complements the growth of the characters, and I like their back story.
As good as the novel is, the author is just do biased not updating . Since over a year ago, I had to leave and here I am again, still no update.

i like the story, world building and all the characters except the mc i have read 40 chapters and the mc is still weak. hope he will get some powers in the upcoming chapters soon.
I stopped reading at chapter 122. It's a good read honestly but it just doesn't make sense how he can turn his grief into joy in a matter of second. This is not the kind of development I'm looking.

How the f is this on top 10. The MC is getting st4pid every chapter. Author made the MC have low potential then gave him power boost in the next chapter. he’s weak asf he pullin girls interest left and right. Again he is st4pid MC even 9 years old can make a better decision than him.
I've been reading this story on and off since it hit somewhere around 100 chapters- but make no mistake, the "off" portion of that statement is entirely due to neglect and poverty on my part. Truly a wonderful story in a beautiful world of fantasy- the sword and sorcery type that I fell in love with as a kid reading LOTR, Eragon, The Chronicles of Prydain and more. This story gives me hope for the future of the genre, and I believe it'll hold a place like Those I mentioned someday too. Very much worth your time (and money).
I can honestly say that this is a must read for any fans of magic and world building. The journey of the main cast of characters that we are following is exhilarating and keeps me on the edge of my seat with every chapter. The action, the romance, the freindships that are built are all integral to the story and paint an amazing world about magic. Quality wise it can need a bit of proof reading every now and then but otherwise for an author with English as a second language they have done a fantastic job and even the few mistakes and hiccups here and there do not detract too far from the story that will leave you lost. The story is compelling with good amounts of different elements that leaves you wanting for more as well as excellent usage of explanation and anticipation so that we the readers can keep up with all the action and anticipate the next big reveals or possible twists. Of course as with every story there are sections that may seem unessasary or counter productive which I myself have vocalised to the author but with their response to push through and see the result of their choices in storytelling I can honestly say that it is very much worth it and I do not regret anything. Speaking of the author they are very passionate about their writing of this story as they respond to many comments as well as possible corrections that I have pointed out which is very good to see and speaks volume of the quality that they are trying to achieve for this book. The author has painted a marvelous world with many different characters with their own uniqueness and motivations that make each one unforgettable so that you won’t get confused who is who as you read deeper. Currently I am up to date on the latest chapters except for premium and I can confidently say I am sticking with this book until the end.
Love the book but just one thing are you not checking the chapters before posting as there are paragraphs repeating every now and then in some chapters
Awesome , just awesome. But I am so confused I looked at the wiki cuz I wanted to check something and is says that (spoiler) Silva is his spouse , but also Klea is his girlfriend and Morgana his Lna… is this a harem ?!😅
Honest a really good read. I am dropping because I really dislike the whole memory loss trope. It's really just not my thing but if your okay with that then definitely give this a read! Appreciate your work author it's just not for me.
Review after 868 chapters This is book is fantastic as a lover of history and fantasy this is a unique twist on the story of Merlin. I plan to use in this review the overall pacing, upload/community, grammer and punctuation. #1 Pacing: Personally believe that this book has some fantastic pacing, as a weak to strong genre it showcases a real struggle for Merlin, he has his ups ans his downs and we can feel his struggle throughout the book as he continues life gets that little easier and that little harder. Everything has a purpose and there are long payoffs for those who pay attention. If you like mythology and history, you'll pick up tid bits which you'll really enjoy, many moments left me in a case of picking my jaw from the floor. #2 Upload Schedule and Community Avans has a great upload schedule he releases very frequently with usually two a day which is great. He keeps to his promises in regards to bonus chapters for golden ticket ranking and overall ranking pushes. The community is one of the best I've ever encountered, everyone is kind and friendly and the author does monthly quiz's and voucher giveaways in which he personally runs and he's very active in the chat, watching us theorise while he watching with bated breath. #3 Grammar and Punctuation: Throughout the book there is very little in regards to problems, Avans is very on the ball, fixes where possible and everything is just as perfect as you can hope. So to summerize some Pros and Cons Pros World Building is, in a word, magical The magic system is very interesting and easy to understand. The use of Bloodlines is also very unique and special in regards to its use and importance. The pacing is just about right not to fast and not too slow Will leave you wanting more and you will grow with Emery on his journey Cons some of the characters can feel 2 dimensional to begin with but they become fleshed out as the story progresses Many find problems with the romance at the end of the day its not the main focus but its a tool towards Emerys emotional growth and its still important, plus we have fun debates. The cliffhangers are killer, they're great but I hate them. You won't regret reading this book I personally binged the first 110 chapters in one night. I'm sure you will too.
