Chapter 157: The result of ego

**Big thanks to Luke Karls for your support**

With Batman gone Bruce and Tony immediately began their work, bringing up multiple schematics.

At the Batcave;

Jeff looked at the data before himself with furrowed brows. In his past life he had wondered if the twins were in fact mutants but the mutants did not exist in the MCU, if they would be brought in later was something he did not know. The results before him however proved they existed and this two were most definitely mutants.

"Oracle pull up a search for Charles Xavier as well as Erik Lehnsherr" Jeff gave his order.

File were soon brought up on the two men, with information on Charles being easier to find. Charles was already renowned geneticist and psychologist living in his mansion in Wenchester County, the lack of files on him in Shield as well as many other government institutions made it clear he had yet to reveal his abilities to the world.

As for Erik Lehnsherr however, there were next to no files about the man, causing the frown on his face to deepen. Magneto was a dangerous man, and not knowing what he was up to was not something Jeff enjoyed.

"Hmmm, I had a feeling you would be down here". Maria spoke up as she came behind Jeff wearing naught but his shirt, and embraced him from behind landing a kiss on his cheek. "Who are they?" Maria questioned as she saw the images of the two on the screen.

"Important people", was Jeff's short answer but the two words were enough for Maria to take another look at the pictures on screen. "Are they related to the twins?"

"In a way", "So your going to be bringing them up to the team?" Maria questioned as she moved form her position to seat on the table before Jeff, "No... not yet, the team is about to deal with something else anyhow."

Jeff turned to face Maria, her brow was quirked as a look of confusion overtook her features. "What?" Maria asked concerned, "the results of Stark's ego. I'll assign Gwen to this case so we don't have to worry about it for the time being."

Having said that Jeff stood and closed the files, "We need to get dressed for lunch, as I'm sure Sebastian would not take kindly to us showing up like this". "Oh really, I quite like you like this", Maria now on her feet traced her fingers across the many scars that littered Jeff's bare chiseled chest as she spoke causing Jeff to spot a grin.

"So I've been meaning to ask where is Yelena, I haven't seen or heard of her in the last two day's" Maria asked as they made their way to the elevator. "She is at Widows Isle visiting",

"Ah, the elusive Isle. Will I ever get to see it."

"If Stark's party goes the way I think it will. You'll be seeing it very soon."

In the Avengers Tower;

The duo of Tony and Bruce had spent days on end working on bring Ultron to life, being met with failure after the failure the two had finally reached a point where they were almost certain they had succeeded.

Once they launched it however, the program collapsed once more before them.

"What did we miss?" Tony questioned as he remained alone in the lab, "I'll continue to run variations on the interface, but you should probably prepare for your guests. I'll notify you if there are any developments." Jarvis' voice resounded causing Tony to sigh in defeat.

"Thanks, buddy." Tony made to leave his lab to prepare himself. "Enjoy yourself, sir." Jarvis called out, causing Tony to give a response before leaving "I always do".
