Torture.

That's what I feel in this moment.

Torture that I am over thirty-thousand feet in the air and that I was too late. Too late to stop the onslaught she was bound to endure. Torture that I have to now hear about over the phone from my very irate boss. Torture that she now knows about her biggest nightmare officially becoming a reality.

And it's all because of me.

"Mike, I know you're upset but I need your head in this." Lamino says over the phone that I have crushed to my ear. I feel the plastic cracking the more I squeeze but I can no longer control my anger.

My beauty needed me, and I wasn't there for her.

"Mike!" Snapping out of my guilt ridden gaze I shake my head, rubbing my eyes as I do so.
