Chapter 62: Chapter 62: Attack on Little Wolf

Once his Alpha opened the door Little Wolf went sprinting out. There were eight wolves in the yard. They were pack so he knew that they would fight as one.

He had once been in a wolf pack but had battled the Alpha for his position and had been cast out upon losing. No other pack had wanted him until he had been returned to his grandmother's home. He remembered the human from when he had been a pup. She had been called the Alpha of his father's pack. But she showed only kindness and perhaps this is why he was unable to find the right fit with other wolves. He had always been searching for a home that consisted of a distant memory of a kindly lone human.

The young wolf did not think about himself. He lunged forward at the closest wolf, who also happened to be the largest. He knew that his only chance was to attack swiftly.
