Imani didn't want to be in the tavern anymore after what just happened and Rauke's voice kept ringing in her ears. Lucas hadn't noticed what had happened because he was still talking to his parents' doppelgangers – lying to them about who he was and where he was from – so he was unaware of how Imani felt and she didn't want to pull him away from them seeing as he looked really happy to be talking to them. Nikolay had told them not to look at or talk to anyone but those rules could be set aside this once.

"She..." Lucas trailed off as he turned around to stare at Imani after the woman asked her who she was and Imani raised her brows at him because she hadn't heard the question. He gave a smile and faced the couple again while Imani slid across the chair to where he stood. "Her name is Imani. She's my wife."
