"Is this really necessary?" Aryna asked as Takeda cuffed one of her legs to the chair she was sitting on and he shrugged in response, cuffing the other one. "You know they won't do much to stop me if I am going to make a run for it after snapping your necks."

"Yes," Takeda said as he glanced at Aksel, who was leaning against the dining table, while getting to his feet. "But they'll at least slow you down for my friends standing outside the door to come in and kill you."

"Well aren't you the charmer?" She clicked her tongue, pressing her lips together and looked away from him just as Nikolay walked into the room with a map for the tracking spell.
