Bon: "Light magic is another type that has an exception in the rule of not affecting you or your clan members. If you couldn't heal your members it would a pretty useless ability so when a light magic user uses it to heal a member it will heal them but unfortunately for them they can't use light magic to heal their own wounds. For dark magic that's a mystery on if that has any exceptions since I don't even know how it works. Oh ya almost forgot but let me explain what happens when you go underwater with friendly water magic. You won't drown or anything so you'll be able to breathe but you will still need to swim to move around. Any water you swallow won't clench your thirst or help your body it will be like swallowing nothing but air. Also your belongings won't be damaged by your magic as well so you don't have to worry about your clothes getting burned or wet. That's about everything you need to know about magic any questions."
Fran: "No."
Bon: "Good now let's start with your training. You see those targets over there. I want you to try and hit the nearest one."
Fran: " Does it matter what type of magic I use?"
Bon: "Yes I want you to use your ice magic since it will be easier to see and how far away you were from the target if you missed."
Fran turns to the nearest target and aims his left hand towards the target and releases ice magic at the target but it didn't go straight like Fran wanted and went off course. Fran completely missed the target and the ice he produced was a mess it was all in different widths and spikes coming from everywhere.
Bon: "Looks like we got a lot to work with well considering this was your first time using magic this was expected. Let me show you what it should look like."
Bon faces the same target Fran tried to hit and releases ice magic as well and it's the target in a perfect straight line. The ice looked completely different as well. Unlike Fran's it was smooth with no spikes and all the same width.
Bon: "This is how it's going to look when you learn to control your magic. Right now you can produce magic but you don't have any control over it so it won't do exactly what you want."
Fran: "About what I expected but will I have enough time to control my magic in one month because like I said I'm only staying here for a month."
Bon: "Well that all depends on you if you're a slow learner you probably won't be ready in time. Also depends on how hard you try but I doubt you have to worry about that since people from your world tend to be fast learners when it comes to magic."
Fran: "You definitely don't have to worry about me. I'm worried if you will be any good as a teacher. So will you be able to keep up with teaching? You said older people don't have as much magic as they did when they were young."
Bon: "Hey! It's not like we become unable to use magic, it just isn't as strong as before. You need to be nicer to your elders."
Fran: "I'll be nicer to you once I see progress. That seems fair to me at least since respect is something I see that you earn, not something you are entitled to."
Bon: "Ah shut up so I can tell you what to do next."
Fran: "Ok go ahead."
Bon: I'm going to get back at you just watch.
Bon: "Next I want you to use your fire magic and engulf your entire body in flames without stopping until I say so."
