Chapter 71: Chapter 71

After the males, the female models quickly went after. Since they were more, their round lasted longer in comparison.

The second round was much less tense and things went more or less the same. The women started and we went right after.

As for the third round, it would be much more for entertainment rather than to expose clothing.

Before the third round started, Felix would perform one of his other songs.

Right now in the backstage, I was sitting on a chair with a hairstylist playing around with my hair and a makeup artist.

The third round would be of different fun themes. For my theme, I'd be a young ancient dynasty prince with other models as the bodyguards.

Looking at the mirror, my appearance was made pale white and my hair was long with quickly attached extensions.

I shifted in my seat uncomfortably. I'm back to being a flower boy, once again.

The stylist yanked and wrapped my hair in a bun and held it with a hairpin.

Haha… You're making me into a prince, right? Not a princess, right?

The clothes I was currently wearing were long traditional winter Chinese clothes, robed hanfu. The type that you'd see in a Historical Drama.

They were long-sleeved and very loose, it almost felt like a dress. The great textile too made it very nice to wear.

I'd probably be able to sleep in these wearing them as blankets to bed.

The black-colored cloak with auspicious white dragon symbols stood out with my long black colored hair in a bun. I'm the prince of black.

Staring at the mirror while checking my reflection out, I surely do think I could fit into one of those historical dramas.

Maybe I can ask the cameramen to send me some of the pictures so that I can upload them to my socials?

I grabbed the gold-colored hand fan from the table and opened it while staring at myself.

If I use this correctly, I can gain some easy achievement points…

Music blasting again, we watched the penultimate group wearing interesting masks. Similar to the masks Charlotte lent to Reed and me in the face reveals, they were wearing masquerade masks that concealed their faces.

This is cool, it's like an expo of different cultures around the globe… or rather… around Pangaea.

The group finally came back to the backstage with huge smiles on their faces and the music turned from the sophisticated melody to a relaxing bamboo flute. The instruments reminiscing traditional Chinese music, the bamboo flute, and the guzheng had a beautiful harmony that permeated the entire place.

I glanced back at my group with the supposed bodyguards and we nodded at each other.

This is our queue to go.

This time, my sensitive ears were not destroyed by the booming music that was present in the first and second round and was instead soothed by the relaxing music.

My face gained a serene complexion and my eyes smiled gently. With the other models following me closely from behind, my slow walk allowed the smooth long hair to trail behind me.

Walking peacefully and everlastingly, the light shined upon me.

We walked out of the corner in a formation shielding me from the rest of the world. A pure prince hidden away from the tumultuous dangers of the world.

The peaceful music gained a happier jumpier outlook.

With a sudden flash of inspiration, my brain ran in gear.

I won't just walk to the front and go back like the other models, I'll make this a real movie scenery.

Placing my hand in front, I halted the movement of the bodyguards. They understood my action and it seems they too thought of this. Or maybe it was my charm?

I walked over dangerously close to the edge of the walk and looked over at the silent crowd.

One of the models, maybe through the use of my charm, knew what I was trying to do and rushed to my side.

Close to the edge, a child's innocent hands made their way for my own.

I reached out to the hands of a kid sitting on his dad's shoulders, but my action was interrupted.

"Your highness… we must go."

The model's purposefully roughened voice echoed resoundingly through the silence of the area while holding my arm from reaching the kid's.

I shook my head and got up while patting my robes.

The setting of the place hadn't changed, yet it was a magical scene where everyone had been mentally transported to ancient times with ancient roads and natural lush greenery everywhere.

We walked on the 'dirt road' which was instead in the real-life just the runway catwalk.

"Why must we go…?"

I opened the golden hand fan in a disobedient fashion.

"...Your highness…"

Reaching the turn of the runway, I stared off into the distance— perfectly emulating the scenery of a lonely prince, his own thoughts hidden from the rest of the world.

Suddenly, a breeze rushed in and ruffled my long robed clothes and my long hair swayed throughout the scenery.

With chills rising from my skin from the dreamlike scenery and the music, I kept staring off into the distance as my subordinates looked on at me.

The prince stuck in his own thoughts, stared at nothing as the engaged audience asked themselves about the prince.

I should definitely be an actor.

Not long after, I felt something drop on the top of my head.

On the walk, I noticed the model bodyguards being bombarded by streams of wisteria that danced around the wind.

I sure hope no one's allergic to these.

None landed outside of the runway or into the audience area, giving the spectators the sensation of spectating another world yet remaining in the same world.

Picking up the petals of the purple plant that fell on my head, I looked at the eager audience one last time and dropped the petals on the floor.

I glanced at my bodyguards, and the prince and his bodyguards returned to their journey from their small stop along the road.

Disappearing back into the corner, the only proof of the prince and bodyguard's ethereal existence was the piles of wisteria lying on the floor and the trailing music behind us.

At last, the flute soothing sound and the guzheng's strings stopped.

[The skill Acting has been added to the Host's arsenal.]

...

"Good job, everyone. Wow!"

"That felt amazing."

We high-fived each other.

"Maybe we'll get hired by a movie director to act for a drama or something."

One of the hopeful female models exclaimed.

"Probably not. If we did, at max we'd be side-characters."

A veteran model thoughtfully said.

"I think we did pretty well. Especially as models, we do have some of the foundations for acting. It's just a matter of learning and practice."

One of the older ones countered back and the rest seemed to agree.

"I wouldn't mind being prince Charlie's bodyguard."

A small joke sounded out and the rest started teasing me with the same joke.

"You do have the air of a prince."

I laughed and waved my hand.

"I think we were pretty successful. Honestly, the Fashion show felt more like a performance and exhibition with small fashion elements included."

I was still surprised at how different this was from my initial thoughts.

"Well yeah. It used to be a normal old fashion show that just displayed clothes for fashion week. But, the director started changing things and it turned more into an entertainment performance. Still, the catwalk runway and displaying of clothes maintains its integrity as a fashion show."

I nodded with a smile.

"I see... it was fun."

The show ended and the stunned audience was still in their same spots.

The flute and the guzheng began playing again. The dismissal music definitely changed. An upbeat electronic song was going to be played but instead, the flute and the guzheng instrumentals were.

I think our final performance was what changed that.

The wisteria wasn't even planned. When'd the agency get those amounts of flowers? Also, aren't they bad for allergies?

Maybe they were artificial.

The audience slowly began moving in unison in streams towards the exits.

I looked at my phone and amusedly read all the freaked out messages I received.

I still haven't changed out of the clothes, but that's because they're so comfortable. I think I'm going to walk out with them.

It feels like Halloween.

I had quickly asked the cameramen to send me some of the pictures and they agreed enthusiastically.

I dunno when I should upload the pictures, though.

Standing up, I walked outside of the room towards the main area in the backstage where everyone else was resting.

"Charlie, over here."

Among the many models of different ages and genders, I saw Felix calling out to me in a small corner sat next to Arden and Blake.

"That was awesome Charlie! That wasn't even in the schedule or transcription or anything."

I smiled, holding in my laughter and desire to call him The Banana Orangutan.

Arden and I glanced at each other and as if a thought passed telepathically between us, we started laughing.

"Thank you, Felix. Honestly, that last thing was a last-minute thought. I don't know where the wisteria came from though, and I sure hope no one got an allergic reaction."

Blake smiled, "Seeing as how I didn't get an allergic reaction, I'm pretty sure they were artificial."

I sighed with relief and nodded.

I turned back to Felix and mock danced his most successful song of the night.

We laughed.

"Listening to you perform right before my entrance really calmed things down. Thank you."

He patted my back with a smile.

"You did great out there man. It looked as if you had done this dozens of times."

"Thank you, Arden."

Felix's face morphed into a huge smile. "I'm going to treat you guys banana milk at the convenience store soon."

Abruptly, the door to the room opened and the director came in with an excited expression.

"Good job everyone! That was amazing. One of the greatest shows I've seen yet and I've had a long responsibility as one of the winter show's directors."

He clapped and soon everyone followed suit.

The entire room was filled with cheers and excitement.

It became silent once more after the applause ended.

He paused and yelled with a smile,

"All of you here tonight did your very best and all of our organizers, sponsors, and management are all proud of you. The hours of hard work all came to fruition. We did it! Congratulations!"

We cheered once more.

Amidst the cheers, the director yelled, "How about we go eat now?!"

Everyone cheered even harder.

As models with strict diets, nobody ate much except Felix who gorged happily on his food.

The food was practically almost falling from his paper plate.

"Arden! Blake! You guys should eat. It's so good."

The banana orangutan was a foodie.

"Haha, the food is for the stars of the show."

He shrugged.

"No one's eating and there's so much. Nobody will care if you eat. Rather, I think they would be happy."

"Yeah. Plus you guys were invited here so just eat."

Interrupted from our porking, some timid women approached our corner.

"Umm… hello. We're huge fans of you guys. Can… we… uh… please get a picture with you?" A female model spoke up.

I smirked at Felix and Arden. They're going to have to deal with signing autographs and taking selfies.

They merely smiled back at me as if knowing something I didn't.

"Of course. What are your names?"

Felix's celebrity form encapsulated his casual form with us and his extraordinary appeal came out.

He can basically do what I do except he doesn't need the system…

That's amazing. I need to learn that.

"We're uh…"

They spoke out their names eagerly and Felix stood up from the bench to take a selfie with them.

"Thank you so much, Felix… I really love your music."

He smiled at them and did his popstar talk.

"Thank you for listening to my music."

They shyly smiled and then turned to Arden who too had to take a selfie with them.

Right… what does Arden do? Is he also a singer? He's got a good voice.

In my thoughts, a finger poked my shoulder.

"Huh?" I looked up confusedly at Felix and turned to the front to see the timid models staring at me eagerly.

"Hi… uh… can we please take a selfie with you?"

I smiled naturally but inside confusion cloaked me.

"Yes, of course."

I stood up and quickly posed behind them with a V sign with confusion still present inside of me.

Behind the phone, Felix, Arden, and Blake were smirking at me the same way I was smirking at them.

"Thank you so much." They bowed to us.

"Thank you…"

I drifted back to my bench and sat down perplexed.

"Haha. Seems like our little Charlie is famous now."

I'm just a streamer and a model? What did I do? Was it the piano compositions?

With a confused smile, I merely stared at them while they teased me.

And suddenly, more people came asking for a picture with the three of us.

And then suddenly, there was a line????

???

[Author Note:

Hullo, hope you enjoyed!

This week was testing week in school so I had to study a lot. My results were okay so fortunately, I will still be able to continue writing!

By the way! I made a discord :D! It took me a while because I'm not very good at making servers and I had to research a little bit on how to make them.
