Meanwhile, Desmond, on his way to the kitchen's back door, paused and cast his gaze towards the nearby backyard. "Should I attempt it now or wait?" Considering the unstable nature of his spell's power, Desmond ultimately decided to postpone the experiment until the following day.

Upon returning to the front of the stairs, Desmond observed that all the maids were engrossed in their respective duties. "Good, no one seems suspicious," he thought to himself.

Ascending to the second floor, Desmond entered the bathroom. As soon as the door closed, a curious hush fell over the maids who had been on duty. They exchanged glances, their curiosity piqued. "Did you hear that?" one of the maids whispered.

"I heard it too. It seemed to come from beneath the house," another maid replied, her voice filled with intrigue.
