Chapter 45: Guess Where I Got That From

Sarah's POV:

I broke the hug and wiped my tears with my eyes still glued to Anthony. Jacob turned and looked at him before raising his hand as a salutation.

Anthony ignored him and left. "Did something happen?" he questioned.

"A few minutes ago, he asked if I was okay, and I said yes, and now he sees me crying in your arms... He must be hurt." I sat on the couch, not minding Anthony's feelings because I was going through a complicated phase.

"Can I use your kitchen?" Jacob asked. I was confused, but I nodded. Then he went to the kitchen, leaving me alone. I leaned on the chair and held my head.

"I don't want to lose my father." This thought made me cry more, and I kept wiping my tears. Then I thought of Mara; she was gone because of this disease, and now my dad? I won't be able to take that.
