Chapter 265: Gogoat's Story
If one were to ask Axel 'Are you taking over the town?', then the answer would be yes. But it was not for the reason that the mayor had imagined. Since his family had repeatedly refused to go to Pallet Town, he had decided to make this town a fortress. He could not do that being under someone.
He had a little sister, his mother, uncle, and father. Except for this uncle, none of them were trainers.
On the other hand, the mayor could not give anything to Axel. Resources? He was the one providing them. Money? He had enough of that. Connections? He was the successor of Oak.
After thinking about it for quite some time and not finding any excuse the mayor said, "I think that would be really helpful. Your contribution would not be forgotten, Mr. Axel."
"Then why don't we go through the documents.", said Axel with a smile.
That took some time. The documents were made and signed and now Axel was ready for the grand plan.
"Tell the soldiers to be ready. I would start after 2 days. The temporary soldier can make their decision in those 2 days too. If the league does not support them, they could transfer to be a permanent soldier. However, they would be accessed by me before it. I don't want baggage on the town.
I would also start to construct the school. With the help of Pokemons, it would only take around a week.
This is a new phase for our town. Let's celebrate.", said Axel shaking hands with the mayor.

All of this went smoothly and Axel returned home to tell the news to his family. His family was worried that Axel was taking a lot of responsibilities but he didn't care about it.
'Axel, Gogoat wants to talk to you.', said Alakazam.
"Really? What does it want to say?"
'She wants to tell her story and also a request. I can translate that for you.', said Alakazam.
"Ok then. I will hear it out.", said Axel.
Gogoat and Alakazam came near him and Gogoat started to speak and Alakazam started to translate.

As you know, I was first a Pokemon of my previous master Cindy. I was her first Pokemon. She had another 3 Pokemons beside me. Like you, she wanted to become a Pokemon master.
We were all happy to have her as a master. She treated us well and for me, she was like my friend.
But something happened that changed all those happy moments.
During our journey, we encountered a wild Hypno.
I could still remember that day.
Somehow that Hypno was an elemental-ranked Pokemon. I was the strongest of the bunch but at that time I was only an uncommon rank Pokemon. We were very weak.
We tried to escape but we could not. At that time, all of my friends and my master….

Gogoat could not continue and started to cry softly. It seemed like that time had hit her very hard. Other Pokemon in Axel's team came to console it. It was a part of the team. Axel also patted her head to console the poor Pokemon.
It started again.

I tried to save them but could not. Somehow I could escape but my master and my friends could not.
Over time I have come to realize that you are an exceptional trainer, Axel.
This happened many years ago. I don't know if that Pokemon is alive. If it is alive, it must be stronger now.

That was a lot to take in. First of all, it was said that Gogoat only had orange (Normal) potential. However, its ability mastery and moves mastery were over the charts.
Gogoat could be said as one of the most balanced Pokemon in his team. It had 'Grass pelt', which increases its defense during 'Grassy terrain'. Most of its attacks were special in nature which disappointed Axel as it was clearly built for physical moves.
All in all, Gogoat was a good addition to the team. The thing which surprised him the most was its rank. It was already an elemental rank Pokemon. He bought Gogoat when it was only a rare-ranked Pokemon. He could not think when it ranked up.
Axel took Gogoat's situation seriously and asked it where it fought Hypno last time.
He then called his friends in the Venu family and Lance to find out about a Hypno who was elemental rank and above in that part of the forest.
Within hours, he had 4 pictures of Hypno. 3 of them were elemental rank and 1 of them was pseudo-king rank Pokemon.
'Gogoat says that the pseudo-king rank is the one she is searching for.', conveyed Alakazam.
Axel nodded his head and started to plan.
The quest was to help it defeat a pseudo-king rank Hypno. For that to be possible, he had to train Gogoat to be a pseudo-king rank. That was a difficult thing to do right now.
Axel knew that, just like Alkazam, Gogoat's stat would increase rapidly to some extent due to his talent. However, he had to create a new move for Gogoat.
