Chapter 19: First Quest 1 (Edited)
Waiting was boring in the forest. Plus Axel had to hide carefully so that other Pokemon would not notice him. Shedinja also improved its stats while battling.

That was a massive increment for Shedinja.
'I think, a stressful situation will lead to a better increase in stats', Axel thought.
One thing he found out about Shedinja was that Axel didn't have to give him commands constantly as he did to Nidoran. Shedinja was thinking on its own and using its power to the best of its abilities.
Shedinja may be weak than Nidoran but it had some strong points too. It seemed more mature than Nidoran.
"Shedinja, good battle out there. You saved me, buddy." "Shedinjjaa" it said proudly.
"Do you like a nickname, Shedinja?", Axel asked curiously.
Shedinja thought a bit and nodded.
"Okay then, I will call you Marcus then. Marcus is someone who was very close to me. I hope you honor that name Shedinja" ,Axel said.
Axel named Shedinja after his dog in the previous world. Thinking about Marcus was what led him to catch Shedinja in the first place. Hearing this, Shedinja's eyes started to water. Here was Axel taking care of him and there was Bruno, his previous trainer who did nothing more than berate him all day long.
Shedinja started to think that humans may not be so bad. It started to hate humans when it was with Bruno.
"Hey, you don't have to cry Marcus, you are with me now. It will all be okay. Alright", said Axel patting Shedinja's head. Tears still didn't stop and Shedinja hugged Axel burying its head in Axel's chest and started crying softly.
After some emotional moments, it was night already and now this was the time for battle. They had already thought about the plan. They were observing those 2 Beedrills. After some time, one of them started to go to the way, where Axel ran. It might be searching for the other Beedrills.
After going for some significant distance, Shedinja used 'Shadow sneak' and used 'Hypnosis'. Since it was night, 'Hypnosis' had a good effect and it started to slow down. Then Shedinja came to its back and used 'Gust'. This affected Beedrill as it was at a close distance.
Shedinja used 'Shadow sneak' again and disappear into the shadows. It came out again from the back and used 'Gust' again. Beedrill was able to partially doze it. Again Shedinja did the same thing, but this time Beedrill was vigilant and used 'Pin missile'.
Of course, this did no damage to Shedinja. It again went to the shadow and then used 'Hypnosis'. After receiving 2 'Gust' hypnosis took effect and it started to fall asleep. Shedinja then used 'Dream eater' to Beedrill. Axel then caught the Beedrill with his Pokeball. This Beedrill was of Orange (Normal) potential.
Axel then went to the remaining strong Beedrill and waited.
They waited for Beedrill to sleep. Around 2 am at night, Beedrill finally fell asleep. Axel then told Shedinja to use 'Hypnosis' 3 times just to make sure. Axel then told Shedinja to use 'Dream eater' on the Beedrill 2 times to reduce its health. And then he threw the Pokeball and it was finally caught.
After he caught the Pokemon he could Identify it fully. He found out that this Beedrill had Purple (Advanced) potential. This was an extremely rare case!!. He only had seen Nidoran with purple potential. It also knew 'Hyper beam', 'Solar beam', 'Giga impact' and 'Double edge'. This was a very powerful Pokemon that he had seen till now in the wild.
If he had fought it in normal circumstances then he would have certainly died. Plus the dangerous Aura it gave made him alert. Axel wanted to use this Beedrill in his team. But he couldn't do it.
It was the same reason, he rejected Golem. It was very powerful for him to control. Plus this Beedrill is a wild Pokemon. After it is released from the Pokeball, it will immediately attack. So he had to sell this to Pokemon Traders.
He then went to the Pokemon center, ate some food and lay on his bed. He could hardly sleep thinking of what had happened today. He still felt regret that he could not catch the shiny Weedle.
Unlike in the games and in anime, if trained well, any Pokemon could be powerful even Beedrill. It may take a lot of effort but it could be powerful. Like, it may be easier to train Charmander than a Weedle. But with the right strategy and tactics, Beedrill could be a powerful Pokemon.
Giovanni's starter Pokemon was Weedle. Giovanni trained it well and now it is one of the Pokemon in his main team. Axel had seen Giovanni's Beedrill defeating a fully grown Dragonite. That Dragonite was very Powerful but still, Beedrill won. Beedrill had high attack stats and its nature mostly is competitive.
When it Mega evolves to Mega Beedrill it would be a beast. The only bad thing about a Bug Pokemon like Beedrill is it has a low life expectancy. A Beedrill to live up to 50 years. It may sound very high but a normal person in the Pokemon world could live up to 150 years. Strong trainers could live up to 200 years. Professor Oak was around 170 years and was still healthy. And normally Pokemons could live more than humans.
So, seeing Beedrill only living for around 50 years, he felt conflicted to catch one. Of course, its life expectancy could be increased by using rare materials but that would be heavily expensive for Axel. Giovanni's Beedrill was around 60 years old and still kicking.
After closing his eyes for some time, Axel fell asleep.
