Chapter 11: Cita ()
"Where are you going dressed like that?"
Raynare turned around and found the blue-haired fallen angel, who based on her messy hair had just woken up.
"I'm going to have some fun,"she replied.
The fallen angel smiled and began stretching, "So who is the poor soul that has been lucky enough to be milked off his money? Do you think that he would be alright having another person tagging along? I wouldn't mind shopping for a bit."
Raynare grabbed her pink bag and shook her head "It's Dohnaseek's turn to go out today, you went out yesterday. I'm sure that you can wait to go shopping until it's your turn again."
Kalawarner pouted and after a few seconds she sighed and headed back to the room she had come from. "That stupid nun better get here soon, I'm getting tired of sleeping all day, I'm not like that damn Mittelt. Still isn't fair that you can go out while we are stuck here."
She smiled at the whining woman and made her way to the meeting place that the kid had picked. During the two days she had been wondering about why she felt so different about him. It got to the point where she actually began walking the streets for a while to see if she could find him but he was nowhere to be seen. She nearly ran into that annoying brat that she was supposed to be investigating.
Raynare arrived at the place where she and the kid were supposed to meet earlier than they had agreed. To her surprise she found him already waiting, his silver hair made it her task of finding him easier, he was wearing a long-sleeved white shirt and dark blue jeans. she quickly looked at her phone to see if she might have been wrong. 'Wow, I get showing up early to a date but this is too early. He showed up half an hour early…. Wait why the hell am I here this early?'
An evil smile appeared on her teenage face as she came up with an idea, "Well since he was the one who wanted to go out with me making him earn it wouldn't be so bad, would it?"
She turned around and began walking in the opposite direction. After an hour of screening some of the shops, she finally decided it was time to start the date. During the hour she would see what he was doing, and she found him leaning on the clock tower with his eyes closed and arms crossed.
Now that she had headed towards him he was standing around scanning his surroundings and the thing that she found more interesting was that he didn't seem angry. He was just looking around as if he didn't know that she was half an hour late. When she got closer she found him deep in thought.
She brought out a smile and let herself be noticed "Umm hi sorry for being late."
He turned around and looked at her for a second before he smiled. She thought that he would excuse her and say that it was fine but he skipped all that and gave his name.
She realized that he hadn't told her his name, that was the reason she kept referring to him as "The Kid" during the time she had been thinking about him. The patience that he had shown still lingered in her mind, the only thought that she could come up with was that he was used to it. After all, he had asked her out without knowing her so if he did it to her he might have done it to many others. "Do you usually have a lot of dates?"
When he heard her, Trey started acting all mysterious, and after giving her the "Do you want me to answer that honestly" thing he said that she was the first person that he had a date with.
Her impression of him began to decrease as she thought 'Bullshit, that's the most obvious lie if I've heard one.'
Trey laughed and assured her that it was true and that the reason he was so calm was because he might not get the chance to go out with her again so it was no use worrying. He also had the balls to say that he would use her date with him to gain experience.
Raynare looked at his eyes and once again she felt her body start feeling warm and safe, not only that but she was able to see that he wasn't lying in anything that he had said. She liked his honesty though it was somewhat annoying to think that she was going to be used to gain experience.
Before she was able to say anything in return he took her hand and began dragging her away. They reached a restaurant that wasn't far, after they had ordered their food he looked at her and smiled. During their wait, he started making short conversations and some flirting here and there, she enjoyed it because it made her feel different. She started wondering if this is what those human girls felt, she had never felt anything like that before when she was around Azazel.
She felt that with him she could be her true self, but she also started to feel fear. Fear that if he found out what she was and what she had done he would be afraid of her. She would lose something she had just found.
When they had finished their meals she was once again dragged away by him. This time he took her to a clothing shop and said that her clothing choice may not fit what he had in mind. He scanned through the clothes and handed her a few things that he had chosen.
Raynare headed to the fitting rooms, once she put on she smiled when she saw that he had chosen colors that matched his clothes.
She came out and modeled the clothes for him, he complimented her and began to take out something from his pockets.
As soon as she saw what he had in his hands she felt her blood run cold, she felt betrayed and so stupid. In his hands he had a necklace that had a black feather on it, for that one second she nearly lost it and killed him.
Trey just sighed and began to explain his reasoning behind giving her the necklace as he put it away. He seemed to not have noticed that his life was just in danger and thought that she simply didn't like his gift.
Raynare quickly apologized and accepted the gift, she took one last look at the feather before she looked at Trey and began walking away with him.
They spent most of the next few hours in an amusement park, she had been there before but it wasn't the same. She hadn't ever had as much fun as she had just had, usually, she just wanted it to end so that she could get away from the lustful gazes.
She felt sad that the day seemed to end but Trey said that there was another part of the date as he walked with her wrapping her in his arm.
They rode in a taxi for a few minutes before they reached what seemed to be their destination, they took their place in a line that had formed outside a building. She had an idea of what it was from the music that she could hear but the name on the sign proved that she was right. They were outside a nightclub.
She looked at Trey and saw how calm he was, 'It's not possible that he doesn't know that we can't enter right?'
Since she didn't want to face the embarrassment of being asked to leave she tried to make sure that he knew. He smiled and asked her to trust him.
She was about to ask him why he was so sure that they would be able to enter but she was interrupted by a man who asked if he could go in front of them.
Trey quickly agreed and it made her feel angry since he submitted so quickly, no one wants to wait longer in line than they need to.
Raynare stayed quiet and just followed behind him, suddenly she heard a loud SMACK and a scream. Trey quickly grabbed her hand and dragged her into the club. She was able to get a glimpse of the knocked out guards and a wide smile appeared on her face.
She asked if he had planned it and he gave her a mischievous smile but he didn't actually admit it. She began to scan their surroundings and her attention was taken by the bar.
Trey touched her chin and shook his head saying that he didn't want her drunk on their first date. He took her hand and led her to the dance floor, after they danced a few songs they sat at an empty table.
They talked for a bit and she found out that he seemed to enjoy dancing, but based on the way he sighed something must have happened. She couldn't get what happened because he cut the subject by going to the bathroom.
As soon as he left two men walked to her and tried handing her some drinks. The two pairs of eyes full of lust completely ruined her mood and she just looked away and ignored them. Not long after she heard Trey's voice telling them to scram.
She turned around and stood up, he grabbed her by the waist and began to walk her away. They headed back to the dance floor, there they found a crowd. After they made their way through the crowd they found a man dancing.
Trey started clapping to the rhythm that the crowd had set, she looked at him and found him in deep thought, he had a smile but at the same time, he seemed to have a sense of loss. She got a thought and pushed him into the crowd after the song was over.
He was surprised at first and slowly turned around to look at her and she just stuck out her tongue. The DJ and the crowd thought that he had challenged the man and soon the songs started playing.
She saw how bit by bit Trey started getting into the music and soon he was doing better than the man. The part that got her attention was when he took off his shirt since her body started feeling warmer.
On like the fourth song a bitch in yellow walked beside Trey ready to dance with him. At that moment something she couldn't describe led her to walk into the circle and push the woman away. She and Trey began dancing and in the end, they won.
Trey decided that it was time to go and she had no choice but to sigh and agree. While they were out in the streets Trey grabbed her from the waist and brought her closer to him. Raynare was happy until he whispered that they were being followed, she paid closer attention to her surroundings and indeed felt the stairs that the two men were giving her.
"For now, let's walk to that alley and get everything sorted out."
When she heard him Raynare hesitated for a bit, 'If we do that then there is a possibility that he can get hurt. I would have to step up and do something about it, would he still like me? No, he will be able to handle it, after all, he was the first one to notice that we were being followed.' She nodded and let him know that she trusted him.
Once they were in the alleyway Trey whispered "Record all of this without letting them know."
She nodded and brought out her phone, not much later the two men showed up and told Trey to go away and leave her to them. Since they were two of them and he was a normal human she expected him to hesitate and think it over but he quickly turned down the offer.
One of the men started getting closer but Trey quickly knocked him out with a kick, she looked at the man that was still standing and found him digging into his pockets. She quickly prepared to form a light spear since she noticed a slight hesitation in Trey's body.
As soon as he saw that it was a simple knife Trey's body relaxed and he turned around and gave a sign for her to stop recording. She did as he asked and he put this hand on the unconscious man's throat and told the other man to stab himself in the leg or that he would kill the other man.
When he said that her body felt a rush, she felt relieved for a second as she thought that maybe he would be able to accept her. In the end, he revealed that they had taken a video of everything that had happened and the man had no other choice but to accept and stab himself. Even the unconscious man wasn't spared and had his leg broken by Trey.
Both Trey and her took a cab to the place that they had met the first time. During the whole ride, Trey seemed to have become serious, there was a look of disappointment and fear on his face.
He grabbed her hands and looked into her eyes, "Look I bet that after what you just saw, you probably won't want to talk to me so I just want to tell you this. What I did just now might have been too much but that's what I'm like when someone tries to do something against me or someone that I care about.No matter what if you ever need someone to hear you out, all you have to do is find me. Also, make sure to stay safe, I would offer to take you home but I doubt that you would trust me enough to show me where your house is."
Raynare really had the urge to tell him that he had no reason to worry, that she understood what he had done and that she had done worse. She would have loved for him to take her home so that they could talk more, but her home at the moment was a church full of killers so that might not be the best idea.
She didn't know what to say and her feelings were all over the place and she just stayed quiet and decided to carefully process everything that she was feeling. Raynare saw his figure become smaller and smaller as he walked away. Once he had disappeared she made a magic teleportation circle appear.
There were two reasons that her date with Trey ended up in such a way and those reasons needed a light spear in their crotches. She appeared once again in the alleyway but the two men were gone. 'I swear that if I ever see those bastards again, then I'll make them suffer dearly for what they said and did.'
Another circle formed and this time she appeared inside the church. Mittelt and Kalawarner were awake and talking about something. When they saw her arrive they stood up and walked to her, they gave her a quick scan and found something new about her.
Mittelt pointed at the necklace with the black feather and laughed "Don't you already have enough feathers haha, which idiot had such bad taste that he gave you something like that."
Raynare ignored her and went to her room, she didn't care what the others said. It was meant to be a reminder that Trey would always be around in case she needed it and that's the way she wanted to keep it. The most important thing at the moment was for her to process everything that she had felt and understand what she was feeling and why.
