Chapter 9: { Part 1.8 }
(y/n)'s pov:
I slept in late last night because of many thoughts. I realized that I'm slowly falling for Levi. Not because he's an anime character, but because he is himself. I know his back story through anime and his personality, but I haven't interact with him alot. He seem different. Not in a bad way, I don't know how to describe it in words but he's a little different from how the fans talk about him.
Of course, he's perfect, too perfect for me. '(y/n) are you awake?' I heard Petra called me breaking my thoughts.
'Yeah I'm already awake. Just a sec.'
I opened the door and see Petra already suited up. 'We need to head out to where the titans are experimenting. We got news that the titans got killed'
'What?' I was shock when I hear that. Oh, wait. Annie kill those guys. Stupid (y/n). You're just a 19 years old and your memories are not working properly.
'And Corporal Levi asked me to tells you that you need to stay behind to watch over the HQ. We don't who will try to get in here.'
'Ok, just tell him that I'll be staying back while cleaning the garden. Be careful on your way there.'
'You're the one who should take care, because you'll be alone. Just stay safe, ok?'
I nodded and waved her goodbye as she gone to the stable. Guess I got this big castle to myself. First, I need to go get the cleaning supplies for the garden. I went to the garden after getting all of the supplies. It's gonna be a long day.
*several hours later*
It's already over noon now maybe about 1 pm or 1:30 pm. I got carried away with cleaning all of the garden. I sit down for a few minutes to rest. All that left is to burn the trash a.k.a weeds, grass I plucked out, etc.
As I stand up I heard horse neighing. I guess they already back. I have to clean this fast.
'(y/n), you clean this all by yourself?' Gunther ask me. As I look up I saw all of the squad amazed by how I managed to clean all of this.
'No, the titans come and clean this.... Of course I clean all of this myself.' I joke a little back at them.
'So how do you think? Is it clean, Captain? I try my best though.'
'Yes, (y/n). This is much more than clean. Thank you.' As he goes on to the stable to put his horse.
I smiled by his comment feeling happy because he acknowledged me. Before I got to jump out of happiness. I lose my footing and almost fall to ground.
Eren rushed to my side, '(y/n), Are you ok? You look pale. Did you even eat?' When Eren asked that Petra rush to my side as well.
'I'm fine, just forgot to eat while doing all of this. I'll be fine. Don't worry.' I lie not wanting them to worry but my body do the opposite. I got dizzy and fell unconscious. Then darkness take over me.
3rd person pov:
'(y/n)!!!' Eren yelled, it's get the attention of everyone and they saw the (h/l) (h/c) girl fell to unconsciousness because of overworking without any food.
Eren bridal carry the (h/c) girl in his arms and runs to the girl's room with Petra following beside. Levi was about to rush over to that girl to carry her but someone got to her before him. 'Tch, why tell everyone to take care of themselves when you can't even take care of yourself first.'
Petra open (y/n)'s room and help Eren put her down. 'The sun was hot and she didn't eat anything since this morning. She fainted because of lack energy. She'll wake up a few hours later.' Petra tells Eren to make him calm a little.
Eren don't want anyone around him getting hurt or even sick. (y/n) has been always a family figure to him. After his mom died and his father went missing, she's the one who look after him, Mikasa and Armin. He don't want to lose anymore of his family. He holds (y/n) and says 'wake up soon, (y/n).'
(y/n) pov:
I open my eyes and I saw I'm in my room. What happen? Oh, I blacked out due to overworking. When I look at the window I saw it was already night time. I'm hungry. I should make myself something to eat.
I head downstairs and went to the dining room. I saw everyone was sitting there and they didn't notice that I'm here, might as well make a sound to make them notice me. 'Ummm, Hi?'
Everyone look at me and Both Petra and Eren came rushing to my side hugging me. 'Guys, it's not like I was dead. I just fainted. What would even happen if I really did die? Will you guys fry for me?' I say jokingly. Petra flick my forehead after I said that.
'Ow, that's hurt, Petra. That's not how you should treat a sick person, ya know?'
'Don't say like that, (y/n). You had all of us worried back there.'
'Oh really. I'm glad you guys care about me' i sheepishly smile at her. 'Now come eat, (y/n). Eren says dragging me to the table and made me sit down beside Levi. I scoot my seat a little further from him, because the butterflies in my stomach are getting to me.
'Sit down and wait while I make a porridge for you. Drink some tea for now.' Petra give me a cup of hot tea and went on to make some porridge for me.
'(y/n), try not to overwork yourself from now on. Even if you did work, don't forget to eat. That's an order.' He says not looking at me while sipping his tea in Levi's way.
'Yes, Captain. I'll try to do that from now on.' Then Petra give me a bowl of hot porridge. It's smell wonderful. 'Thanks for the food, Petra.'
As I started to eat porridge, I felt memories come to me in a flash. My memories from the real world. I started to tear up. The porridge taste the same like how (m/n) made for me whenever I got sick. Everyone noticed that I started to crying.
'(y/n), is it not good? If you don't like it I can change it to something else.' Petra got concerned when I start to cry. I shake my head telling Petra that's not why I cried.
'No, it's taste so good. It's just like how my mom use to make for me. I just got memories of her and I miss her and my family. Thank you, Petra. For taking care of me and thanks everyone for being worried about me. I'm glad I got to be in this squad.' I smile between my tears.
'Stop crying and eat all of your porridge if you like it that much. Eat it before it get cold.' Oluo tells me turning his head around so I couldn't see his expression.
'Yes, I will.' Even if I didn't have my family here with me which is a relief, I'm glad I found people who care about me the same way I care about them. And for sure, I don't want to lose them, not even one.
*a few days later*
It's the day the trainee corps will join us that's mean I'm gonna meet my friends. Hope they misses me. 'Eren, Do you want to follow me to the stable to feed the horses?'
'Ok.'
'How are you coping in the basement? Are you able to sleep easily?' I ask him as we walk side to side to the stable.
'I'm trying but I'll manage, at least the bed is warm except the floor. How about you?
'I'm fine. But sometimes I hate cleaning every day but I don't want to get scold or get punishment.Ughhhhh.' I yelled out loud making Jack neigh at me.
'Even Jack knows how I'm feeling, Captain Levi sure can make us clean a lot. We can't even leave a dust.' I groaned.
'(y/n) try to talk about it quietly, what if he hears about it? He'll give you more punishment.' Eren warned me.
'It's ok. He won't hear me. It's not like he is behind me right now.' Then Eren pointed behind me with his hands shaking a lot.
'You sure that I won't hear what you say?' I heard Levi's voice behind me. Crap I'm gonna die.
'Oh, Captain Levi, I was just saying how you are so strong and how you are so kind to us? What did you hear?' I fake smiled not wanting him to give me the cleaning punishments.
'Oh, I thought I heard that I make all of you clean every day and gives punishment if you guys did something wrong. Just like you said now go clean the backyard and I don't even want to see a trash left behind. Finished it before evening and don't forget to eat.' Levi order me then he left.
'You should have warn me earlier, Eren.' I glared at him not telling me that Levi was behind me. 'Better run, Eren. See you in a moment.'
'Yayy, finally done at last. I need to wash up now.' I put all of the supplies to their places then head up to my room. I change to just casual clothes and went outside saw Eren got back from checking the perimeter around with Captain Levi, and others except Petra.
I was about to walk to Eren, when I look to my left side, I saw Mikasa and the others. 'Mikasa, Armin.' I yelled at them. They turn around and noticed us. I run to them and hug both of them.
'How are you guys? Did you guys miss (y/n) ne-san? (A/n: ne-san means older sister.)
'Like hell I would, (y/n). Cut out with the ne-san thing. It's cringe me by just listening.'
'Oh you just hurt me in my heart, Mikasa. I thought you would miss me at least.' I fake cry to her. Then Eren got to my side and saying hello to everyone. Then someone rush to me and hug me making me startled and I immediately know who it is.
'Marco, did you miss me that much? I'm glad you miss me, while Mikasa here don't even miss me.' I complain to Marco about Mikasa. Even though I'm older than them, I still act like I'm younger but act older when I should.
'How have you been, (y/n)? You got thinner? Didn't you eat? I told you to take care of yourself.' Welp, I just remember that I didn't eat anything yet.
Eren glare at me angrily because he heard what Marco ask and give me a look did you eat yet? I shook my head back at him. 'I'll eat later after you guys leave. I haven't met all of you for days. So, Mina, Jean and others join the others teams I assumed.'
'I'm right at the back of you, (y/n).'
'What? Don't tell me I'm dreaming now. Jean, joining the survey corps? Armin, is he telling the truth?' Armin nodded at me.
'Welcome to the club, Jean.' Then we all talked for a bit but the times come when we have to separate. 'We'll see you on the upcoming expedition. See you soon.' Eren and I waved to all of them and went inside and starts our daily routine.
