Chapter 137: Turning point

Shadow of a person was towering against her frail body, looming behind her as thoughts of running away scattered like dust. She turned to see the frighteningly tall and muscular man who had guided her to safety. 

She was confident that he was going to bash her mercilessly and punished her for showing an ounce of escaping. 

"Ayten's called over!" That was the only sentence that came out of his mouth. With that, he turned and head back towards the calm lake where the crowds were. 

The pair of odd siblings stood and followed Nimue with little hesitancy. She swore she heard Noah mumbled under his breath. It was harsh, but after spending time with Harith, those sentence felt warm and comforting in her ears. 

However, she was having a hard time to accept it considering how unconcerned the boy appeared to be. 'Maybe there is more than meets the eyes,' she thought.
