Chapter 48: Vanished

Lucas smiled widely as he realised it was the first time Sara had let down of her defences and showed her true self in front of him. Even though it was for a moment, it was still an achievement unlocked for Lucas to see Sara like so. All because of his silly assumptions and remarks.

'Nature really does agree well with her,' Lucas pondered, enjoying the moment and trying to capture it in his memory.

He looked on at Sara's cheery disposition as she walked further into the garden towards her left of the forked trails, her laughter still lingering on his ears. His gazes were still following her movement and with no warning, right in front of his eyes, Sara disappeared! He blinked once, then twice to make sure he was not hallucinating.
