Emily let out a small sigh before she replied, "I didn't return to the mansion that night because Shadow needed to rest. He was in bad condition because he overexerted his powers and tried to suppress his hunger when he clearly needed to feed." 

Crist shook his head as he spoke, "No wonder he seemed so tired these days. Seems like even the Supreme Immortal can have bad days."

Emily chuckled softly at his words. Only if he knew just how worse Shadow's days could turn out to be sometimes.
