Chapter 64: Chapter 64: Caught

ALEX’ POV

“May I see that one?” I pointed on the matching rings behind the glass casing.

I thought it’d be perfect.

It wasn’t that fancy. They’re silver rings that can fit together like puzzle pieces. One ring has a rising sun engraved on it, halfway out of the horizon of a blue sea. The other has a crescent moon hanged in deep blue sky. Once connected, it looks like they’re hugging, the moon and sun despite being separated by the heavens and earth will meet, creating a magnificent eclipse.

I run my fingers over the rings when the saleslady handed them. It felt familiar, like it was calling me. Like it was meant for me, for us.

The Moon and the Sun. Alex and Sunny.

“I’ll take it.” I smiled at the lady. I decided to give this to Sunny after I come clean of my situation.

Then my phone rings.

“Hello, Sunny?”
