Chapter 4: First clue
Ian was sitting beside Paul and enjoying his favorite chicken cheese sandwich in school cafeteria, Paul decided to come up with new ideas to investigate further on finding Ian's soul kisser.
"Dude, now that we know MIanmIan is not the one, there are only other three people who were present, Darren Lan, Suzy yang, & Li Qin"
"Who do you think is most likely to kiss you, Suzy, Qin or may be Darren" he said smiling ear to ear. Ian knew Paul was finding all this very amusing and interesting as he never let go a single chance to tease Ian. Ian was curious too as why would someone kiss him and not make any effort to confront or make any move on him after that night.
"Paul why do you think the person who kissed me never confronted, can I be that bad kisser" Ian said in disappointment.
Paul thought for some time and replied," Ian girls don't usually walk up to boys and say 'hey boy that was hell of a kiss last night, do you mind going to the second base with me" and started laughing
Ian hissed at him and punched his arm showing his anger at his friends idea of kissing as first base.
"Paul Im not surprised no girl wants to date you; do you discuss such different base in relationship with them to make sure girls runaway on first date itself."
Paul stopped laughing and realized what Ian meant, he looked at him with disappointment and replied, "If I am no good then why don.t you go to your relationship expert Leo and ask for help."
Ian felt little sad at he mentioned Leo. Paul was right, out of everyone in the world he wanted Leo to help him the most. But he also thought Leo definitely has other problems or else he would be the first to help Ian.
Ian went to basketball court little early today, he saw Leo was busy playing with teammates. He looked for a comfortable sit in the stands and started admiring his friend playing like a champ. Ian could notice Leo had the ideal physique of a basketball player athletic body, lean muscles, tall and strong. He was a perfect combination of hard body soft face. Suddenly Leo scored and Ian couldn't help but cheer for his friend jumping in the stands.
"Go!" Leo Go!" he said punching in the air
Ian saw few girls who were sitting and drooling over basketball players practicing, they turned around to look at Ian who was fangirling over Leo after that field score.
Leo turned his gaze towards the familiar voice in the stands. He excused himself and started walking towards Ian. His white jersey with his lucky no 85 all drenched in sweat, messy hair, glowing skin, rosy red cheeks from all the running, giving fifty shades of grey look to those crazy girls in the stands.
"Lets go home together" Ian said, when Leo approached him and nodded in agreement.
Leo quickly changed and met Ian outside school gate, both started walking towards home. Ian noticed Leo was looking tired. Ian decided not to ask Leo anything about Zoey, It been two days since Ian saw him with his girlfriend at the ice cream parlour. He thought Leo will himself tell him if something is bothering him.
"Leo you look tired, do you want to grab something to eat before we head back" Ian asked
"Hmm" typical Leo reply
They went to Ian's favourite restaurant and occupied sits with the best view.
Ian started telling Leo about his progress in finding his soul kisser in past few days. He told him what happened with MIanmIan and how he is now left with few options to find the truth.
Leo was looking at his friend with amusement, Ian couldn't hide his excitement on how close he was in finding this person. Leo somehow felt relaxed around Ian he was happy he could finally spend some time with Ian who was busy nonstop blabbering.
"Leo help me approach Li Qin please, she is your chemistry lab partner, right?"
"Ian, who do you want to be the one who kissed you that night?" Leo inquired with seriousness
Ian knew what Leo was getting at he looked at the other with an expression of understanding, as if saying I know what you mean Leo. Ian took a sip from the drink and replied in his soft voice.
"Its not important who it was? Its the KISS.I have read, heard from people but experiencing it that night is still so indescribable for me, the warmth I felt on my lips slowly engulfed my entire body. I lost the feeling of individuality, as if we were longing for this. It started slow but felt like years, I can still feel the nibble on my lips. If words could describe how it feels to get a hug from god, then that's how exactly I felt in arms that night. Trust me Leo I can do anything to feel the same again". Ian stopped after realizing how shameless he looked sharing his intimate moment, and Leo was sitting giving him ice cold face biting his nails as if such feeling doesn't exist.
Leo averted his gaze from Ian and looked outside window feeling his cheeks turning red. Ian was so engrossed in talking that he didn't realize he had sauce around his lips, Leo smiled at his friend finding him cute and raised his hand to wipe it with tissue.
Ian grabbed his hand and looked straight into Leos eyes with amazement, Leo was startled at once," what??" Leo asked
"Leo, which perfume you wear, It smells exactly like the other night, sweet lavender aroma." Ian questioned?
Leo pulled his hands with a surprised look on his face, thinking how silly his friend can be.
"Just the usual perfume Ian, its nothing new" he said.
"Leo, Is it possible that It was your girlfriend Zoey, whom I kissed that night? Isn't this how she smells after a make out session with you"
Leos eyes were wide open at the mention of his girlfriend. "What ???"
