Horrible novel. Whoever is editing this needs to be fired since it is full of errors. Also, the plot was not very good. I tried reading quite a few chapters and am still unsure what's going on. I don't really know why Qidian selected this amongst the other better choices in the trial read.

Just wanted to know if this is worth reading while others were throwing hate everywhere. It would be bad if readers missed a good novel just because the one they want wasn't picked. I don't think the ratings really reflect the quality of a novel, it doesn't do justice. So is this worth it?

CAN SOMEBODY WRITE A SYNOPSIS FOR THIS NOVEL PLEASE ?????? I could not get past chapter 1, I tried my best, but I just can't. I'll rest for a while and I'll try again and edit this. First, my problem with this book is not the grammar and obviously not the story. It's the prose. It is too difficult to read because there's too much adjectives crammed in a single sentence. I, personally, could not get immersed in it. The narration makes no sense, blame me for being slow but the narration is just confusing. The dialogues are awkward, and the author nitpicks every detail and describes them in long, boring paragraphs. I don't know if it was the author or the translation. This work is more like a poetry than a novel.

The story can be very confusing. Sometimes because the translation isn't well done, and at other times it's because the author is writing drama that probably only makes sense if you're familiar with the culture. Also it's not very clear who the narrator/detective/(who is that guy anyway?) is. The story feels like a mess. Sometimes it reads well, but most of the time it doesn't.

Tbh, I do not know much. just skimmed over a few chapters, but I lost interest already. Why did this even get picked? Idk. This is lower in quality than other novels, I do not even know how this reached 500k votes but sure. Just makes you think about how bad the system in here is. No I do not want any beef. I am just putting out my opinion that several other novels in the Trial reads are much better. but they didn't get picked.

I know a lot of people have been dissing this novel, however just try reading a couple of chapters and you'd realize it's quite decent. This gives a unique perspective on a modern vampire (or so i would call it as far as i have read). It is interesting so far. I just didn't like so much the narrator who seemed to be an interviewer? of the story's vampire. I don't know but it feels that he attempts to break the fourth wall or something.
