Chapter Two

How inconvenient.

Jungkook was one of the top five students in the school, and he was a part of the advanced classes. He sat at his second year in the college-like school, and had quickly grown popular among the common classed students, as well as the other advanced class students.

However, Jungkook wasn't a cruel person, so he was kind to everyone who approached him, unless they provoked or upset him in some way. He only wanted to stay with his friends, his small, messed up Pack.

A Pack filled with Fay, shape shifters, vampires, and even other werewolves. Jungkook, being an Alpha wolf, had the natural instinct to protect and lead the people he cared about in the right direction.

Only to keep them safe, and happy. He had the natural instinct to provide for them, and show that he was strong enough to ensure their safety. The people he felt this way towards were other members of the top five, as well as one other who resided in the common class of the school.

Hoseok, a Beta wolf like himself, Jin, a powerful healer with the gift of being closely connected with the earth, followed by Namjoon, an incredibly smart shape shifter, and Yoongi, a two thousand year old vampire who protected Jimin, a Fay that had been casted out from his original home in Fay territory.

Hoseok and Jungkook had been friends for a sum of at least fifty years, seen as they both lost their Pack around the same time, and got lucky enough to meet in a forest far East of Seoul's forbidden forest, where the school resided.

The school itself was surrounded by a protective shield, warding off all human beings, as well as normal animals. The grounds made it seem like an entirely different world, seen as deep in a dense forest, there was a gorgeous school with neat, well taken care of grounds and pathways around the school.

There was a running track, a training field, a fighting field, and even a large indoor pool, all of which were able to be accessed by all students. Jungkook's classes, however, were fighting based, seen as he wasn't a magical creature, but a creature built to fight, hunt, and protect.

He ran, he fought, he shifted, and he attacked. All day long. It was exhausting, but he certainly didn't mind, as his wolf howled in excitement every time he got the chance to fight fairly with one of his classmates.

His day, as per usual, was mostly fun, and relaxed, but by the end of the day, he was excited to come across his new roommate. Ms. Jeong, the head of the school had notified Jungkook of the new arrival of an advanced class student, and that the new student would be his roommate.

Jungkook was curious, and also happy to have some company in his quiet dorm, but what he expected when he finally arrived was not what he got. The sweet scent of sugar and spring water filled his nose as he focused his sight on the boy sitting on the couch.

His light brownish blonde hair was curly, and long enough to frame his face perfectly. His skin was sun kissed, and glowed in a heavenly way. His frame was small, yet manly, and his brown eyes swam with a mix of awe and inner turmoil.

"You... Are my new roommate?"

Jungkook had questioned as he stepped closer. His wolf was fighting for control, screaming over and over that they had found their new mate, their next step in this eternal life Jungkook had been cursed with when he was created.

He reached out, the palm of his hand caressing the soft skin belonging to his second soulmate. It was abrupt, the way that his heart wrenched in pain, and the long-buried memories of the loss of his Pack and mate were brought to the surface.

The other boy's eyes turned into a deep shade of emerald, mesmerizing Jungkook despite his fear, pain, and sorrow coming at him full force. In a moment, the memory was gone, and the boy pulled away from Jungkook's touch, eyes fading back to brown as he let out a heartbroken sob through his hands that covered his mouth.

"You... You lost... You lost everyone... Everything.. Like- like me..."

His words snapped Jungkook out of his trance, causing him to back up a few steps while he stared at the other with shock and curiosity. "What- what did you do?" All the memories, the feelings that he had felt then came rushing back. He was angry, yet sad, and his vision blurred with tears of pain while his teeth clamped down on the inside of cheek, doing his best not to cry.

The other boy sniffled softly, causing a bit of warmth to burrow into Jungkook's heart as the boy wiped his eyes and looked down at the floor.

"It's my ability. One of them. By making contact with someone else, skin on skin, I can pull up a memory buried away, whether good or bad. I can't control it, I never have been able to." He shook his his, and then moved to his feet, approaching Jungkook.

Their foreheads connected, and Jungkook's wolf whined out in content as his eyes fluttered closed, listening to the sound of the boy's rhythmic breathing and heart beat. "I'm sorry, what I brought up was painful for you. I didn't mean to. Could you forgive me? It won't happen again now that it's already happened, so I can promise that it won't happen."

How could he reject such a pure soul? His soulmate, begging for forgiveness? Jungkook nearly growled, but suppressed the urge as he opened his eyes, meeting the boy's gorgeous, gentle, brown eyes.

"Jeon Jungkook... I'm your roommate."

The other boy smiled softly, a smile that made Jungkook's stomach tangle in knots of lust and love. Jungkook pushed his forehead further against the other's, waiting for him to speak.

"Kim Taehyung. Thank you for welcoming me."

Carefully, Jungkook placed his hands delicately upon Taehyung's hips, pulling the boy just a little closer. He inhaled slowly, relishing in the other's scent, and then exhaled with a small laugh.

"I know this place is supposed to be a school of acceptance, but would you freak if I told you that I'm a beast in human form? In the literal term."

Taehyung let out a soft giggle, one that sent Jungkook's heart into overdrive. Both boys opened their eyes again, making contact before Taehyung gently shook his head, following his action by nuzzling against Jungkook a little bit.

"No, I wouldn't. What are you, Jungkook?"

He smiled a bit, and then closed his eyes again briefly, opening them to reveal his wolf's eyes.

"I'm a werewolf. An Alpha, to be exact. And I believe that the moon goddess has gifted me a second soulmate. You."
