Chapter 29: Firefly, Village, and Onward to new page
Instead of using a train or any other transportation, Eleonora uses her teleportation spell to go to Asahigaoka faster than using those. Of course, it's not like she has to hide it to do it since magic slowly became the norm, and everyone would always witness that in everyday life of them since the shocking revelations about the monster, magic, dungeon, and so on is become real. All of that is no longer just a fantasy or fiction from fairy tales.
Not Fairy Tail, but fairy tales. People often mistook it for Fairy Tail, a story about a young mage and his guild who always use the power of friendship to overcome anything, even if the opponent has something that repels or makes anyone who uses magic useless around him.
But that's not important as it's not the focus of this.
Eleonora already knew Fairy Tail, and she found it horrible since everything is according power of friendship. Recently when she was in Kagamihara's, she also watched some new anime that she hadn't seen since she only watched Fate/Stay Night, and that's why she knows what Fairy Tail is. She also watches anime other than that, and thanks to one of her talents and magic, she can watch five anime simultaneously without hurting her eyes and neck.
Let's not forget that she recently created new magic, a time manipulation magic. She names it [Time Manipulation] as she thinks it fits the name and doesn't want to give it any ridiculous name like anyone who has 8th-graded syndrome always does. She's not a person like that, and it's embarrassing if she named it like that.
And she combined it with [Magic Blue], a time manipulation magic which is an inferior version of her own [Time Manipulation]. She combined both of them, which resulted in her gaining new magic or skill, and its name is [Wheel of Fate: Clock of Time].
It's embarrassing for her to see the name, but she can't do anything since it's automatically named, and she can't change it. She doesn't know why but decided to let it go and not think too much about that; it's not like she has to announce the name so loud when using it.
She also remembers about [Shikigami Summoning]. If she summons them, she can use them to gain any kind of information or protect the people who are important or close to her. That's why she used the shikigamis and ordered them to disperse and protect the people she mentioned.
When she arrived at Asahigaoka, there were a lot of rice fields. She then tried walking and has seen nothing but a rice field whenever she went. But fortunately for her, the direction of Hotaru's home isn't that far, and she has to walk to get there after teleporting from Kagamihara's house; she didn't directly teleport to the front of Hotaru's home, but instead take a detour and observe the surrounding around her.
She was also curious about the dungeon told by Hotaru from the call.
And after walking for an hour, with how cold the temperature in this month and season, Eleonora felt a bit cold and quickly opened her [Inventory] so she could wear the jacket that can warm her entire body and prepare her fire magic to warm her in case if her jacket can't do the job to keep her warm
'But still… is the monster resistant to cold? In this kind of weather and season, normally, in any RPG, some monster didn't stand cold and became weak. If it's weak, I have no problem dealing with it fast. Although I would be considered powerful from my statistic and skillsets alone, there's no harm to be cautious, as long as I am not overly cautious.'
She thought of that as she finally arrived at the front yard of a house. A nameplate engraved onto the house says 'Ichijou' on it. Seeing that, Eleonora smiled and walked closer to the door and knocked it gently to make sure anyone in the house would come and greet her. Although this is still daytime and Hotaru probably isn't at home yet due to her school.
"Yeees!"
Hearing a sound to respond to her knocking, she could hear footsteps closer to the door and the sound of the doorknob being opened, revealing a woman who has a similar look to Hotaru. However, this woman has an older look with a motherly aura. The woman has braids that she hangs on her back and brown eyes.
Seeing the one who knocked on her door house, the woman's lips curled into a smile and smiled happily as she knew who it was. Eleonora is someone she knew very well, and she couldn't forget a girl as attractive as she is.
"Nora-chan!"
Eleonora nodded at the woman with a smile on her face
"Haruka-san."
Both then hugged each other warmly while Eleonora could feel her hair being stroked by Haruka gently. But, in this case, Haruka isn't taller than Eleonora, and that's why the young girl felt a bit awkward at that because she could feel the softness and squishiness of Haruka's breast. But Eleonora doesn't dare to have indecent thoughts.
A few seconds later, both broke the hugs and smiled until Haruka spoke.
"Long time no see, Nora-chan. How are you doing these days?"
"I'm fine, Haruka-san, and sorry for not telling you about my sudden visit."
"No problem. I bet it's Hotaru who tells you to come, right? That kid is always like that, wants to secretly lovey-dovey with you, and didn't inform us anything. She can be selfish and childish whenever with you or her own family."
With a tired sigh coming from her mouth, Haruka said that Eleonora just shook her head and waved her hands.
"It's okay, Haruka-san. I kind of understand why she did that. Maybe because of how rare I have free time, she decided to be like that, since I'm always burdened by many works that sometimes take a long time to finish. If my parents hadn't forced me to take days off, I would still be holed up in my office."
Eleonora said that with an awkward laugh as she scratched her cheek. Haruka fondly smiled at her when she said that to her, who is basically Eleonora's mother-in-law. Not going to lie; Eleonora thinks the beauty and cuteness of Hotaru are inherited from her mother. Of course, the long bluish-haired girl refrained from seducing Haruka and added her into her harem.
There's no way she would do that.
Haruka, who heard that, just giggling cutely.
"I am glad you spend your time aside from work, Nora-chan. It's bad for your health and mind if you keep doing that. No human could last long, even someone like our Prime Minister also take leave from his work and enjoy his holiday. Moreover, you're still young. You have a lot of time to enjoy your youth."
"Haha... I think so but thank you, Haruka-san."
Haruka shook her head and blinked as she noticed something while raising her eyebrows.
"Nora-chan, is there any particular reason you coming here? Hotaru is still in school, and maybe she would come home in the afternoon."
"Ah… there's something I want to investigate, or rather, I want to look at the so-called dungeon that currently appears in this village. Have you know anything about that, Haruka-san?"
Haruka became surprised when she heard that and nodded slightly at Eleonora, gaining a look from the young girl.
"Yes. Many people became uneasy whenever near or around where that dungeon was located. But thankfully, there's no casualty. No villagers were getting hurt since they were always cautious when close to that dungeon. But it still bothers people and may become a serious problem later."
Eleonora rubbed her chin and crossed her arms when she heard this.
"Hm… is that so? Maybe I can take a look and solve that dungeon. Not trying to be arrogant, but I'm pretty confident with my abilities."
"Abilities? Nora-chan, you are one of those 'Awakened'?"
Haruka became surprised again knowing that fact, and it became clear when Eleonora responded that with a nod and confident smile flashed on her face. The mother of Hotaru then became relieved and slightly happier because she always believed what Eleonora said. Since the young girl never gave her anything that doubted her, which made Haruka fully trust her daughter-in-law, even her own daughter also believed and put on her full trust in Eleonora.
There's no need to doubt Eleonora since she also knows what kind of person Eleonora is from her perspective and judgment. Over the years she got to know Eleonora; Haruka and Hotaru already get a perfect impression of Eleonora, and the long bluish-haired girl also did not disappoint her.
"Really?! Then I don't have to worry about anything. Ah, but please don't push yourself with the investigation or dealing with the dungeon. Okay? I don't want to see my Hotaru crying and heartbroken when seeing you getting hurt."
Haruka said that with a smile and reminded her as she winked at Eleonora. Seeing Haruka doing cute things despite how old she is, Eleonora just finds it adorable as she chuckled and nodded her head, understanding what Hotaru's mother said to her.
Anyone doesn't want someone precious to them getting hurt or in trouble. Moreover, Hotaru is still young; she has the mind of a young girl, unlike Eleonora, who has the mind of an adult woman; although their age is closer, Eleonora is older than Hotaru.
"I understand that, Haruka-san. I'll try to not push myself to a certain extent. It's kind of bad seeing Hotaru crying or sad."
Eleonora said that while scratching her right cheek as she smiled nervously. Haruka just snorted, seeing her daughter-in-law's nervous smile and how her gesture showed at her right now. She cannot help but show a small smile on her lips.
"Then, while waiting for Hotaru to finish her school, how about going inside? I'd love to talk about some things with you, Nora-chan."
The long bluish-haired young girl nodded at Haruka.
"Yes, Haruka-san. Pardon my intrusion then."
Haruka waved her right hand to Eleonora.
"No, not all. Come on."
Eleonora nodded and followed Haruka as she went inside the Ichijou family's house. The house is different from the one she remembers since she and Hotaru are basically childhood friends, and Hotaru's previous house isn't that far from where Eleonora lives. However, due to her father's work transfer, Hotaru and her family have no choice but to move from Tokyo to the remote and humble village, Asahigaoka.
Since that day, which is a month ago, they have been in contact with each other whenever they have free time to ask about their condition or just some small talk. And that's why Eleonora had an idea to establish a new branch on Asahigaoka. One of them is to make the villager have easy access to modern things. It's not like Eleonora wants to destroy the environment of the village but just to help it.
'Well, as long as Hotaru and her family are happy, I think I'm okay with that. They live in a remote village after all, and knowing Hotaru, she would have some boring time since it seems in this village, there's nothing to do to pass the time, and it's really peaceful. It's so quiet.'
Eleonora thought of that after already observing the village. She more or less knows about the village, although there are some missing details like culture, economy, etc. But that can be postponed since her goal is to investigate the dungeon, monster, ensure the safety of Ichijou's family, and meet again with her girlfriend, Hotaru.
'The strong has the duty and responsibility to protect the weak. If I have the power to do it, especially towards my precious person, then I'd absolutely do it. And if I somehow saved stranger, then I think it can benefit me because they can owe me by doing that.'
She thought of that in her mind as she was already inside the Ichijou family house.

Sighing, a young girl with neat collarbone-length black hair suddenly felt bored. It's not like she hates living in a remote village such as Asahigaoka, but there's no one like her girlfriend who stays close to her. Although she has already lived in the village for a month, she cannot deny the peaceful and quiet atmosphere that sometimes tickles her here. She owns a handphone but rarely uses it outside of her home since people would find it inappropriate to use a handphone in this kind of village, and maybe people in this village find it strange, so she always puts it in the bag.
As Hotaru sighs, someone notices that, and it's one of her close friends, a girl with waist-length brown hair and a child-like appearance despite being the oldest girl in this school, although she always has some kind of insecurity about her stature.
"Hotaru, what's wrong?"
Hearing that her name was being called, Hotaru blinked and turned her head away to the one who did that and found it was her senpai who looked at her with confusion as she tilted her head. Hotaru smiles awkwardly since she doesn't know what she should do in response to her senpai question, but mentally nods her head when she finds something she came up to.
"Ah, Komari-senpai. It's just… nothing."
Komari, who heard that, could not believe what Hotaru said and pressed the question again to her.
"Hotaru, are you sure? What's wrong? You could tell me anything if you have a problem."
Komari asked that with a worried tone as she was concerned about Hotaru. After seeing the expression Hotaru put on her face, she couldn't bear it and wanted to ask her friend about it. It's also one thing that could increase Komari's feminity, and she can be trusted or viewed as an adult since she has child-like stature; despite her being the eldest girl in the school.
Hotaru just laughs nervously.
'Komari-senpai worry about me… I cannot make her like that. Should I hide it again? But that would make her more worried and possibly crying about my condition that might get worse from her perspective.'
After giving it a deep and serious thought, Hotaru gave up and sighed again. She looked at Komari, who currently has mixed confusion and worry on her face that was so obvious that anyone around would notice that. If not, then that person would be dense, or their mind is slow to comprehend what happened.
Hotaru doesn't want to make her friend worried about her that much. That's why she has to say it to Komari, but not all of them since the eldest girl would be shocked when knowing that Hotaru already has a girlfriend before her, who is supposed to be the oldest girl and has the role of big sister but cannot be believed due to her child-like appearance.
"Um… it's just that I'm worried about my friend that came to my home today."
This made Komari blink and became curious. Natsumi, the youngest siblings of Komari and her little sister and a girl known as Renge, happened to hear what they talked about and immediately butting in their conversation.
"Heyaaa! Nee-chan, Hotarun. Whatcha talking about? Seems interesting! Care if I join?"
"Hey, hey! What are you talking about, Koma-chan, Hotarun? Renge wants to know about it."
"Natsumi! Don't just butt in like that! And Renchon, don't imitate Natsumi too."
Hotaru just sweatdrops and laugh dryly when seeing their behavior, especially Komari, trying to calm Natsumi and Renge. They suddenly became excited and curious as they wanted to join the conversation between Hotaru and Komari.
Although Komari tried so hard to be an adult and responsible big sister, Hotaru couldn't help but compare her to Eleonora. Her bluish-haired girlfriend is basically the same age as Komari yet did something beyond that. She is still proud and amazed by how responsible her girlfriend is and so charismatic. She is the ideal figure of what Hotaru wants to be, a proper and reliable woman.
After calming Natsumi and Renge, Komari sighed as she wiped her forehead since she felt tired, especially handling how stubborn Natsumi is. Knowing she has to do it almost every day because of her stubbornness and how irresponsible the tomboyish girl is in their house and family.
"Alright. Hotaru, you said that your friend. Is that the friend you had from Tokyo before moving in here?"
Hotaru nodded at Komari.
"Have. But yes, Komari-senpai. I already contacted my friend two days ago since I missed her, so I asked if she had time to come visit me. I think she is already in my home, and I couldn't help but feel guilty since I'm not there when she is coming."
"I see… then what about we go to your home after school? Or at least contact her if you are really worried about leaving her in your home? Ah, but is it allowed for us to call by phone…."
Overheard their conversation, Renge's oldest sister then responded to that.
"It's okay, y'know. As long as you're behaving and not causing any trouble. But also don't take it too long, okay? I don't want it to become a habit, and thankfully since Roozlent Company recently about to improve the environment of this village, using a cellphone or anything is possible."
Hearing Roozlent Company, Hotaru couldn't help but smile and feels happy in her heart, since the company that her girlfriend owned and managed is causing a great influence on others, especially the people in this village, so they could have a better lifestyle.
She also could use the internet in her house if that's happened.
Hotaru then nodded at Kazuko, who was smiling at her.
"Yes, thank you very much, sensei!"
Komari and Natsumi went agape when they heard that and looked at Kazuho with a deadpan expression since they had already expected that kind of answer from her. Hotaru ignored that and quickly took out her phone from the bag she always carried and called Eleonora's phone number.
As she waited for the call to be picked up, she heard a voice through the phone and smiled.
"Hello, Hotaru? What's wrong?"
"A-Ah, Leo. Yes, it's me, and I just want to ask something. Are you already in here? I mean, this village."
"Hm, yes. Right now, I'm currently with your mother at your home. Shouldn't you still be at school? Is it really okay to use a phone?"
"Hehe, it's okay. Sensei allow me to use it if it not too long."
"Oh, so it's like that, huh. Give her my thanks, and is there something you need, Hotaru?"
Feeling a bit nervous, Hotaru smiled and answered Eleonora's question.
"If… If you're okay, could you come to my school? I want to meet you, Leo."
When saying that, the soft and soothing voice of Hotaru made Eleonora silent for a while until she responded as Hotaru could hear a chuckle coming from Eleonora.
"Alright, I'll go there. Is there anything like a photo of your school entrance? I'll need it for a moment and if possible, go meet me at the entrance, and if you want it, you can also go bring your friends. I'll give you and your friends a little surprise."
Confused at what Eleonora said, Hotaru just nodded her head and sent the photo of her school entrance she had already taken with her friends. After doing that, she politely excuses herself to Kazuho as she brings her friends with her, all of them curious about Hotaru's friend from Tokyo.
Of course, she had already asked permission to leave the class for a moment, including the other girls, while Kazuho gave permission to all of them and immediately left the classroom to head towards the school entrance as Kazuho told them not to run in the hallway.
Kazuho, who was seeing the girls, just snorted.
"Young girls… well, it's not like this school has strict rules."
Leaving the classroom, the girls then arrived at their school entrance gate, and they could see a beautiful and elegant woman. She has a bluish long braided ponytail hairstyle that exceeds her long and beautiful legs, similar to her blue sharp and gentle-looking eyes that can pierce any woman who has contact with her eyes.
Komari and Natsumi were immediately charmed by her while Renge was gaping as her eyes sparkling with excitement and curiosity. Hotaru, who sees the woman, just smiles widely, and the woman waves her hand to Hotaru, to which the black-haired girl replies as the woman walks closer toward Hotaru.
"Hey Hotaru, long time no see, and you became more cute and beautiful."
Hotaru giggles and nods her head hearing her compliment.
"The same I could say to you, Leo. Ah, let me introduce you to my friends. Everyone, this is Eleonora Pendragon, my friend from Tokyo."
Eleonora smiled at Hotaru's friends, and she just ignored the fact that Hotaru just called her a friend since she already knew that they would be in shock if they knew that they were in a relationship as they're a couple. Komari, whose face was red, snapped back and realized what she did as she became embarrassed and spoke nervously.
"A-A-Ah, nice to meet you, Pen-dora-gon..?"
Eleonora chuckled at how adorable Komari was trying to pronounce her family name.
"You can just call me Ellen, Leo, Elly, or Nora."
"Ah! Sorry for my mistake, Ellen-san. My name is Koshigaya Komari. I'm 13 years old."
"Oh. Then, you're the same age as me. Nice to meet you too, Komari-san."
"W-W-What…? The same… age…?"
Komari suddenly froze as she couldn't believe what she currently heard with her ears. Even Natsumi tried to comprehend Eleonora's words, but a few seconds later Natsumi went back to normal and introduced herself.
"Y-Yo, I'm Koshigaya Natsumi. Nice to meet you!"
Natsumi felt nervous seeing someone only a year older than her radiating adult aura around her. Eleonora just nodded at Natsumi.
"Nice to meet you too, Natsumi-san. Ah, both of you are siblings?"
"…Yes. We are, but we also have our Nii-chan. He always enjoys time alone, though."
"Is that so? And who are you?"
Eleonora said that as she crouched and tried to get the same height as Renge, who lifted her right hand and spoke with enthusiasm.
"Hello, Nora-nee! My name is Renge, Miyauchi Renge! But everyone calls me Renchon! Nice to meet you, Nora-nee!"
"Humu. Nice to meet you too, Renge. You're so energetic. I like it."
She said that while giving Renge's hair a soft and gentle stroke. Renge seemed pleased and okay with it. Although Renge is always okay with almost everyone, it still gives Komari and Natsumi the surprise that Renge isn't complaining and seems… tame.
After she felt it enough, Eleonora stopped stroking Renge's hair, which made Renge a bit sad.
"Nora-nee, can I ask more of it?"
"Maybe later, Renge. After all, I'll live in this village for a few days. Can I stay at your house for that, Hotaru?"
She looks at her black-haired girlfriend as if she is trying to ask for her permission, although Eleonora already got it from Hotaru's mother, she still asks her girlfriend. She doesn't want to make her angry if she didn't inform Hotaru about this.
Hotaru nods her head in agreement.
"Of course, Leo. You can and always will be."
Eleonora smiled happily at Hotaru, who was saying that and accidentally kissed Hotaru's cheek. Komari and Natsumi were shocked when seeing it. Renge is just an innocent child as she just wears the same expression as she thinks it's normal for girls to kiss each other in the cheeks because she interprets that as a form of affection between close friends, and Renge always did that to Kazuho or anyone close to her. Whether they are boys or girls.
Hotaru, who received the kiss from Eleonora, just went red on her face, embarrassed by the sudden action of Eleonora.
"Thank you then, Hotaru. And oh, just a sec."
Eleonora said that as she heard her phone notification ring and took out her phone, trying to open it, it was a message from one of her girlfriends, Kuwayama Chiyuki. Reading the message caused Eleonora's eyebrows to rise in confusion and curiosity.

[Leo-chan! Sorry to inform you like this, it seems we can't have a date this week since I apparently became busy with things in the store I part-time job of. So is it possible for our date on Saturday or Sunday next month? If you're okay, please inform me immediately.]
Reading it made Eleonora confused, but then she secretly sent one of her Shikigami without anyone noticing to spy and protect Chiyuki. It's not like she's suspicious or doubts Chiyuki, but Chiyuki is naïve, kind, and easy to be fooled by many people; that's why she has to take extra care whenever regarding Chiyuki, Sonoka, or Hotaru. They are basically naïve and kind-hearted people who can be easily fooled by people who notice that.
After sending her reply, Eleonora sighed in relief. She noticed that Hotaru looked at her curiously and confused after recovering from the small shock she got from Eleonora, who kissed her cheeks. Hotaru won't complain right now, but she will when both Hotaru and Eleonora are in her house and room.
That's why Hotaru asked Eleonora.
"Leo, what's wrong…? Are you okay?"
Eleonora just waves her hand while smiling at Hotaru to make the girl not worry about her.
"It's okay, nothing serious going on. Also, sorry for that sudden kiss, Hotaru. I just couldn't resist that."
Eleonora grins while Hotaru pout. Eleonora and Hotaru's flirting scene causes them to receive glares of jealousy from Natsumi and Komari. They don't know why they felt like that, but they had the sudden urge of jealousy whenever looking at those lovebirds fooling around.
"Hey-hey! What was that kiss earlier? Why you kiss Hotaru?"
Natsumi asked that, while Komari nodded in agreement.
"Y-Yes, Ellen-san, Hotaru. What was that earlier? W-W-W-Why you kiss Hotaru on the… c-c-cheeks?!"
Komari asked that while stuttering and in shock again.
Without being embarrassed, Eleonora then answered it.
"Oh, we're a couple. Isn't that right, Hotaru?"
"Yes. Leo is my girlfriend."
A silent moment filled the atmosphere while there were delays in their reaction.
…
"WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT?! B-Both of you are couple?!"
Eleonora and Hotaru nod their heads together in response to Natsumi and Komari. Renge just felt admiring Eleonora more and amazed by it. She also thinks Eleonora can be her role model and want to be like her someday.
"Ooooh! So you're papa and mama, Nora-nee, Hotarun?"
Being asked innocently like that, Hotaru felt her cheeks a bit warm, and there was a pink blush.
"U-Um… yes, Renge-chan. If you put it like that, Leo is papa and me is… mama?"
"That's right. Someday we will get married and have a kid. It's not impossible with the current research in my place. It's going smoothly."
Komari and Natsumi lost their words when they heard that, especially Natsumi's brain; she could not digest the information Eleonora told her since she is always dumb and it's a fact. Also, one of the reasons is because she has the mind of 12 years old girl, unlike Eleonora.
But then Hotaru was coughing and trying to calm the situation as she tried to change the subject.
"Ahem. We can put that aside right now, and sorry to hide it from you, Natsumi-san, Komari-senpai, Renge-chan! I don't want to make anyone awkward if I say that. And also… senpai? Komari-senpai…?"
Hotaru has a confused face when seeing the current expression shown by Komari. She froze, didn't notice, and heard that Hotaru called her; even Natsumi, who froze too earlier, recently recovered and went back to normal and tried to call out her older sister, but her words didn't go through Komari's ears.
A few minutes later, Komari then snapped back and went to normal as she glanced around her, coughing up and trying to clear her throat after the shocking reveal about Hotaru that she didn't know about. She also felt really jealous that Hotaru surpassed her again, but she didn't show that.
Although Eleonora noticed it and went amused.
'So Komari-san is jealous of Hotaru, huh. Quite amusing.'
Thinking of that, Eleonora tried to change the subject and ask all of them.
"Ah right. Is everyone knew about the dungeon in this village? I've heard of it from Hotaru and am quite interested in checking on it. Is any 'Awakened' already being called and take care of it?"
"Um… about that, Leo… some 'Awakened' who came is defeated and cannot take care the dungeon. Everyone who witnessed that trying to call the government or guild again, hoping they would solve the problem as fast as possible."
"Ah… so it's like that, huh."
Hotaru, Komari, and Natsumi nodded at Eleonora. The long bluish-haired girl then smiled and snapped her finger as if she had a solution, although it may involve herself since it's actually not her problem, and she didn't have the responsibility to take care of the dungeon.
"How about I'm the one who is taking care of it?"
Once again, a silent moment filled the atmosphere while there were delays in their reaction.

"EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEHHHHHHHHHHHH?!"
Eleonora just smiled at them.
"You want to take care of the dungeon?! Ellen-san, it's dangerous!"
"Yeah, what she said. Unlike those 'Awakened' who have a superpower, we are just normal humans. I prefer not to see Hotaru's girlfriend get hurt. Isn't that right, Hotaru?"
"U-Um… Leo, are you sure about that? I think it's better if we call the authorities and the one who can handle it."
But Eleonora waves her hands to them to not worry about her.
"No problem. As I said, I will give you a surprise, Hotaru. Didn't I tell you that on the phone?"
Blinked, Hotaru remembered that and looked at Eleonora.
"Is-is that so…? Then what's surprise you told me earlier, Leo?"
