Chapter 251: An Emergency Call

"Hey, you okay?" He nudged her shoulder with his elbow. "Penny for your thoughts?" 

"Oh, yeah, I'm fine. Sorry, I got lost in my thoughts." she smiled at him. 

"What were you thinking? You have been very quiet." 

"I—" 

Grand raised his hand as he pulled his phone from his back jeans pocket. He mouthed "sorry" before he stepped away from her to answer the call. 

She observed him as he listened over to his phone that was pressed tightly in his ear, and she realized that after listening for a minute or two to his caller, he became agitated.
