Chapter 49: Saturated Sunrise

Watching Dana's face and listening to every fall of her heartbeat, he found the resolution he has been searching for in the past months. 

He groped for the diamond bracelet in his pocket and felt relieved that he didn't have the jewelry delivered to her when she refused to meet him. Because if he did he wouldn't see her expression when he gives the present he got for her in Oslo. And that would be a shame. Dana has a very expressive face, hence he loves to tease her. 

He hopes that the thought that he bought her a present would make up for him being an asshole, avoiding her when he knows it's futile.

He grinned like an idiot when Dana's arms tighten on his waist. It's getting colder now, as much as he regrets disturbing her sleep, they have to get inside, if not, she might catch a cold. 

"Dana, wake up," he whispered as he tapped her cheeks softly.
