Chapter 1114: Alan Is Confused

When Anette sat down, she turned her head and saw the dirty floor of her apartment, then inadvertently averted her gaze. She said while pointing at the sofa. "Sit down and talk!"

Alan sat down and felt like he was a puppet. All the emotions inside his heart fluctuated for Anette.

In the spacious living room, Anette poured a cup of tea and put it on the table for Alan. "You come here late at night just to explain it?"

"More than that!" Alan looked at the teacup and replied back, "I brought your jewelry."

Anette glanced at him, refilled the teacup on the table again, and smiled. "Where's the jewelry?"

Alan looked at himself empty-handed, his chest suddenly filled with irritation.

The jewelry was in his apartment, he forgot to bring it!

If it turned out like this.. It would seem like he's making up excuses!

Compared to the absent-minded Alan, Anette looked calm.
