Chapter 13: The Game Part 2

We're headed toward the house of Caleb's teammate which was only three streets down from mine—so we walked instead of using a car. Ashley and I walked along the street while Pete waited for us at the curb of the next street.

As we walked, Ashley was glued to her phone, while I'm still dazed at the thought of what happened a few minutes ago, because last two week ago, I wouldn't have met Pete if Ashley didn't ask my grandparents for approval; the fact that they were pleased to meet her. So earlier, I presumed they wouldn't allow me since I asked and the fact they knew my parents were extremely overprotective, but to my incredulity my granny smiled and said. "Sure why not?" I'm trying to fathom out if they're like my parents and by the looks of it, they're not.
