Chapter 145: Chase on Intensity

Tracking had never been a strong suit of Cathleen.

She wasn't bad at it, but she definitely didn't hold a candle to Zen or Dave. She really wished she had paid more attention to this area of her training with the latter back then.

Looking for a kidnapper through the filthy streets that the subway led them to didn't seem too complicated in theory, but streets were much different from forests and dirt paths. Looking for a kidnapper while being chased herself definitely didn't make it any easier.

Cathleen weaved through empty stalls and bounded over crates. She wondered where Dave and the others who came with her were but didn't dare slow her pace to look around for them.

They hadn't wasted any more time at those invaders. The trail that Efran left was still fresh. Dave is definitely much better at following tracks than she, and he is also fast. It was a different kind of speed than what he exhibited when they were training before.
