Chapter 72: CHAPTER 72

XAVIER'S POV

I looked at the familiar hoodie. It was black and slightly worn out. Exactly how I remembered it. It had been my least favorite hoodie for some reason. I raised my head; waiting for Ophelia's reply.

She was almost out of the room but stopped out of nowhere at my question. My jaw stung from the alcohol but I swallowed the pain awaiting her.

She turned, but too slowly to be normal. There is a sadness in her eyes, the brown too glossy. She was white as chalk. Her eyes and her mouth were frozen wide open in an expression of stunned surprise. What had gotten into her? Why was she acting so weird? It was just a simple question.

The hoodie seemed familiar. I didn't remember where I lost it. I thought that it was hidden somewhere in my wardrobe.
