Chapter 71: CHAPTER 71

OPHELIA'S POV

"Take this. Here, take this. Showing me a gun. Such an amateur-"

I couldn't take this anymore. I had to do something. I grabbed the first thing that I saw and hit it over Luco's head. His hand touched where the iron rod hit him as he fell to the ground, unconscious. I knew his guards were right outside, so I had to take Xavier from the backdoor before they came after us. 

Seeing him lie on the floor brought back an image that I wanted to burn. I didn't want to see him this way anymore. 

His lips were pale, not the familiar pink. His face had lost color as blood dripped down his forehead. His lips moved.

Like he was mumbling something. 

I moved closer to hear what he was saying. It was probably going to be incoherent but I still tried.

"I-I am s-so sorry. I'm-m sorry, Ophe-Ophelia."
