Chapter 73: Accepted Into The Family?

"Layla" Kyle got up from his seat in a hurry. He was unsure how long Layla was standing there but the look on her face showed she was not happy.

Layla was in a complicated mood. Still, she struggled to maintain a smile on her face. Her sight only had the man in it who took the fruit basket from her hand and handed it over to the butler.

Kyle had left Layla's side in a hurry a few days back. His dad was okay now and as a son, he stayed by his father's side. But what irked Layla was the ignorance she had to suffer over the period.

Kyle only called once and was as if he had forgotten that he had a girlfriend. It was Olivia who called Layla for lunch. Olivia had said that it was a family occasion.

Layla's eyes turned towards the table and saw the person she least wanted to see. Clara was sitting there with a smile on her face as if provoking Layla.

'What is Clara doing here? She was all smiles sitting beside Mr. Black.'
