Tianshi Xue jolted awake when she felt the sudden movement from Prince Qui. She groaned internally as she sat up. "Are you okay?" she touched her husband's back and found the shirt damp with sweat.

"I'm fine," Prince Qui answered almost quickly and jumped out of the bed like her touch had burned him. "I… I need to shower."

Tianshi Xue was alarmed. Their bedroom was dark, and the sun was nowhere near the horizon. She stood up as well, making herself dizzy in the process. "What?" she asked, blinking against the lack of light.

"Go back to sleep," said the prince. "I'm fine. I… need to clear my head for a bit."

But Tianshi Xue was not going to let him escape this time. She placed herself between Prince Qui and the bathroom door. "No," she said, trying to make her throat muster the amount of seriousness she felt inside. "You're going to tell me what happened."
