Chapter 177: Like Mouths and Empty Eyes

Tianshi Xue had been thinking the night before. She was trying to come up with reasons as to why the prince did not like for her to come. Was it because he did not want for her to see how the people would hate him? Was it because whenever he visited there he was thrown rotten fruits and vegetables, eggs, and feces?

But none of that happened. Nobody threw anything to the prince. In fact, it was like he was invisible. Or maybe it was because he was walking faster than usual that they ignore him. Or maybe they were told to ignore him because if they did not, they would be punished?

Tianshi Xue followed quickly to the house that the prince disappeared to. She needed to see what was going on in there. Was that where he was getting the answer? She got closer to the little hut, but could hear no sounds as she got nearer. It was dead silent. Were there bodies in there? DEAD bodies? Or were the slaves tied with gags in their mouths?!
