Chapter 29: Sweat
Tianshi Xue had never been one to be shy of her body. She loved showing it off which garnered her a lot of criticisms in her past life. "You're wearing a dress too short", "Did the factory ran out of fabric on that top?", "Are you wearing a rag?". Those were just some samples of the things that she commonly heard.
As much as there were people who hated that she kept flaunting her beautiful curves, there were still a lot of people who praised her for it. They called her a gutsy person.
She didn't mind applying the same principles with the princess' body. All bodies are beautiful. You just have to have the right amount of confidence to carry it.
Now, Tianshi Xue was already itching again and she didn't want to apply another layer of the ointment in the fear that it would all just be wasted because she was going to take a bath anyway. She already prepared her new clothes. As much as she hated to be waiting on Prince Qui, it was not like she could do anything about it.
She waited, restraining her fingers and hands from scratching more at her skin. She knew it would only bring more damage. Although it did not itch as much as it did the night before, it was still in an uncomfortable level.
But after about an hour, she finally heard the other soldiers welcoming him and Bolin back. Tianshi Xue could no longer stand it. She wrapped a shawl around her face, leaving her eyes exposed and opened the door.
"Let's go!" she shouted. She walked towards the group of men huddling around the coconuts—which surprised her as it was plentiful—then she stopped at her tracks.
The small circle of soldiers opened up and exposed the shirtless prince.
"A—" came out of her lips but she could no longer finish the sentence. She didn't even know what word she was going to say.
There was a lot to take in in the prince's body. Not only it was well-built, all defined muscles on his chest, arms, and she could not take her eyes off the lines of his stomach. It looked like a normal model's body. But what she did not expect were tattoos that covered his shoulder and almost the left part of his torso. His body had scars and there was a small patch covered with gauze near his stomach.
Another thing that Tianshi Xue did not expect, was to find the prince's body hot. Normally, she would not go for men who looked sweaty. She didn't like the smell and the sticky feeling. But… sweat covered Prince Qui's skin and somehow made it shine—like it was something not from this world. Now all she wanted was try to touch it, to convince herself that it was real. Even sweaty, the prince looked clean.
The unfairness of the world.
She shivered internally, in disgust, in embarrassment, or in shock, she did not know. Her mind whispered that she shivered because she got excited seeing a sexy person.
NO! she said to her mind as she painfully took her eyes away from the prince. She was sure that her eyes were only on his body for a split-second but sadly, the reality was much more different.
"Like what you see?" the prince grinned at her.
She turned her face away some more that it already hurt her neck muscles. She crossed her arms on her chest. "I want my bath," she said. She knew she sounded like a spoiled brat, but how low could she go today? Guess, we would find out.
"Yeah, just let me put on a shirt." From her peripheral view, she saw that someone threw a shirt to the prince and he slid his arms on it. "Do you have your items with you?"
She nodded stubbornly, still keeping her gaze away.
"Doctor Jung, can I have a bath kit?"
"What?!" she screamed, looking at the prince in the eyes now.
"What?" Prince Qui asked with a small smirk. "You think you're the only one going to take a bath?"
