I just don’t know
Dear diary,
I think for the first time a guy doesn't care I can beat his ass.
As I get up in the morning, I'm given porridge which seemed a lot like oatmeal but now. The war chief comes over and tells me to grab my gear and that him and the chief want to see me in action. As I finish I go and collect my bag of weapons and clothes I can change into that I can move around in because it's going to be way easier to show them in something that is not a dress.
As I walk over with my backpack to it looks like their archery area. I see Lian and few other people over wanting to see me in action.
Odis hands me the archery stuff "you conformable with this or you want to use your own?"
I feel them and get a fell for it, as I'm looking at them and playing with them. I grab it and shoot real fast and bullseye on the target. I see a few of the men shock by it that a girl was capable of this. I walk further away and shoot again, Bullseye. I do a few more times in different areas without ever moving the target. I take them all out and place them on the table. I grab my knives out of the bag, and I throw them on the target bullseye.
I could tell a few men were shocked by it all. I look over at Lian and he's just grinning not freaked out. It was knew for me to have someone not care and still interested.
I look at the war chief "what's next?"
"You can fight?"
"Not in this? I looked at what I'm wearing, I can barely move in this thing."
I hear a few of the women start giggling
Okay he gets one of them to take me someone to help me change. I get into my clothes, luckily everything is covered so none of my tattoos show. That's be another explanation for them
"Okay so what do you want to see" I ask
"So what can you do other than what we saw in the woods?" The war chief asked
The chief looks at him curiously
"She's amazing at fighting can take any man down"
I walk in front of them all and decide to just show off my gymnastics skills at first. I could tell some of the guys were shocked. I start doing back flips and I was told enough
"You can shoot?"
"Yeah but we need to be more open."
We walk out to a field and I see a target. They hand me a black powder.
"No that takes to long. I grab my 5 hand guns out and my M16"
I began shooting the target to the point the head is gone.
The chief had a look on his face of utter shock by this revaluation of skills.
"We are probably going to have you teach some of these young lads your skills."
"Do you think they will listen?" I asked not knowing with the different times we are in
"If they want to know they will have to" one of the men state.
"Where did you learn all this?" He asked me walking closer
"Training mostly. Was required for my job Incase shit went bad." I tell him
"Amazing. Nobody has been able to master a gun yet."
"Black powder is not as fun as this, I had him my M16. Careful on the trigger."
He shoots it once aiming at the target and misses completely.
"Can you teach me" he asked realizing he missed
"That's what she will be doing. Teaching knives, archery, and shooting" the chief looks at me
"You can do that right."
"Yeah I can" I tell him,
How hard could it be, I learned by someone who was a master no reason why I can't teach someone my skills.
"Alright, please changed into something more appropriate" I go off with the ones that helped me and they help me back into the dress.
"You know you wouldn't find a lad if your too busy shooting guns all the time"
"Well hopefully when I do he wouldn't care"
It stung what she said because it was my battle in my own time. Not able to find a guy because I could kick his ass.
As I walk out with all my stuff. Lian stops me.
"I take it your done?"
"Yes, did you enjoy the show?"
"I did I could tell some of the Lassies did not. Care to join me for some bread and cheese?"
"Yes I just want to put this away." I show him my bag.
We walk to my room and I drop my bag off.
We quietly talk as we go out to another direction and near some of the horses. I see he had planned a picnic and was hoping i said yes.
"Your very skilled, how did you learn all that" Lian asked me as we showed me everything.
"I grew up doing martial arts, competition, fighting. It was easy. When I was 17 I joined the service and there I learned everything else."
I was waiting for Lian to be worried but he seemed to not really care.
"It's amazing how honest and nice you are about it" he tells me.
He leans in to kiss me on the lips.
