Chapter 21: Arc 1: 1. 20

(A/N: My exam week has finished, but I think 70% I fail one subject. Although it was a little unexpected, who told me to be this lazy. I only wish I got passed because I don't want to repeat that subject esp the teacher of that subject. Anyway here the chapter! I think we're gonna find this arc soon.)

After giving affirmative to Fredrick, Andres and Belinda left the hospital. With everybody leaving the room, the stern face was no longer visible, only the dejected expression on his face. Fredrick held Ivan's hand even tighter, the tear that had been holding ever since Ivan was sent to ICU, flowing down his face.

He's sobbing quietly beside Ivan's bed. He looked at the pale face of the sleeping man, slowly caressing the smooth face, he spoke slowly to the man, "Whoever harms you, will have to pay for their action," he paused a little bit and bowed down to kiss Ivan's forehead, "Please wake up soon! Our wedding is on the way, Baby!"

Fredrick left the hospital room and not forgot to order his bodyguard to keep on guard and not allow anyone to visit Ivan's room. His face turned cold immediately after he stepped out of the room.

While he was walking toward the parking lot in the underground, he took his phone dialing a few phone numbers, some of it had the name and the other was saved under IT or OT. He drove off the car to their home to get the clothes and anything that was necessary.

He could have his bodyguard go to take it, but he didn't want anyone to go to their room nor touch Ivan's clothes and things. Thus, he could only go by himself.

As for Andres and Belinda, after they left the hospital, they went home. Andres dialed his secretary number and told him to get all the evidence of Harley. He planned to sent directly to the prison for attempting to murder.

It gave him quite a shock when he first heard the name of the mastermind. He never thought the girl he thought to be his sister, a gentle and polite girl could be this vicious. If he thought back, if the one who drank that glass was Belinda or Lance, he couldn't have known until the effect took them.

Therefore, in order to prevent this from happening again, he could only retort this way, sending her to prison and letting her reflect on her mistakes. As for her family, whatever he didn't care anymore. Life for Life.

But first, he needed to ask her why she targeted Ivan. From his memories, the two of them didn't have any conflict, only some minor things. He thought and thought, in the end, he couldn't find the reason why.

He had taken Harley from her family by saying that he invited her to go on vacation, putting her in one of the guest rooms in his villa with heavy security. He didn't want to make an enemy of the Radford family.

He had Lance interrogate Harley, but it was fruitless, she's so stubborn, and requested to talk to Andres then she would answer the questions. Thus, today he invited Fredrick to see Harley with him. It was the third day after the accident and Ivan hadn't woken up yet, and Fredrick's expression became darker and darker each day.

It was afternoon on the third day, Fredrick arrived at Andres' villa. They walked together to the first-floor guest room which held Harley. In the beginning, he didn't want Fredrick to be involved in it, but when he thought of the nearly dead Ivan, he decided to invite Fredrick to listen to Harley together.

The guard at the door bowed down and opened the guest room's door. The light in the room was a little dim from the outside, there sat the woman whose face was pale and thinner than she used to be. Well, considering that they had tortured her mentally not physically because sometimes responding with violence had no result.

Andres and Fredrick stepped into the room and sat on the brown sofa. The maid served coffee to them and retreated back. When Harley saw Andres walking in, She opened her eyes and dashed to hug Andres.

All she spoke was, "Andres let me out! I don't want to be here!"

The guard rushed to pull her from Andres and restrained her on the ground. Andres began to ask her when he saw that she had calmed down, "Why did you want to kill Ivan?"

She looked up at the same time, she was being starred by the sharp eyes, making her shiver in fear. She opened her mouth to speak slowly and at the end of the sentence, she laughed.

"Who is Ivan? I don't know. I want to kill Belinda, not some random Ivan. However, I remembered him. Well, it doesn't matter who dies but I want Belinda dead. HAHAHAHAHA!"

Fredrick's eyes became sharper and darker when he heard her that she didn't care who would die. Andres was shocked to find that the person that she wanted to drug to death was his girlfriend, Belinda.

Now that he got an answer and all those pieces of evidence that Lance had been collected, could make her life in prison for the rest of her life. They stood up and walked out of the room, no longer caring about how much Harley had shouted for help. No one could help her even her family.

Two days later, the morning Ivan woke up from a coma. The first thing he saw was the handsome face of his husband which shined like a radiant. Ivan was helped to get up from the bed and then a kiss planted on his cheek. He turned to the cupid and happened to see his husband's tired face.

He lifted his hand to caress both cheeks and kiss the man on his lips, "I've troubled you."

Fredrick took hold of the hand that was holding his face, "No, it's not a trouble at all. Taking care of you is my duty."

They both smiled at each other at the same time. Then Ivan realized that he wanted to know who was the mastermind of that lethal drug.

"How was it?"

"It's Harley Madison, Andres' fiancee."

"Huh? Why did she do that to me? No, not me, to Lance."

"Actually the target was Belinda, but Lance took the juice then he gave it to you."

"So it's like that?" he nodded and asked again, "So what will she be?"

Fredrick sat on the bed with Ivan and pulled him to his embrace, "She was sentenced to be in prison for the rest of her life for attempting to murder and illegal used the lethal drug."

Ivan nestled further inside the embrace and he answered 'En' as he understood the point. Then he asked Fredrick how many days that he had been asleep. Fredrick answered five days, then when he realized that no wonder he felt weak and a little hungry.

The moment Ivan woke up, just in time for lunch to serve. Fredrick ordered two portions but one portion was the light meal because right now Ivan couldn't eat anything excessive for his recovery. Andres, Belinda, and Lance came to invite after lunchtime. They talked about some work-related, personal life-related issues.

He was not surprised when he heard they would get married in two months. Then he congratulated them. However, the person sitting beside him stated that he would also get married about one month earlier than Andres and Belinda and hoped they would join their happy occasion.

Ivan looked at Fredrick bewilderedly. He didn't know anything about this wedding that would take place in one month. He eyed Fredrick suspiciously. He would talk to him after the guest left.

"What with this one-month event? Why didn't I know?"

"Actually I wanted to tell you during the Radford annual party and announced it to everybody, but you had an accident before that. But all that was left is us, be there to proceed with the ceremony. I've prepared everything already."

"Alright if you say so. When can I leave the hospital?"

"Tomorrow, today I will have you check up one last time to ensure everything is okay."

Ivan nodded and then he leaned on Fredrick, enjoying this moment of silence between the two of them.

On the day that he discharged, he received a rose bouquet from Fredrick. They drove to their home. Along the way, Ivan got a call from Lance, Andres, and Belinda, asking him about his health. That three people could consider his friend in this life. He didn't interact much with his other co-workers so only Lance was in his friend zone.

His daily life didn't change much aside from not working anymore. From his point of view, he had completed the wish of his first victim. For the family part, he could consider it complete with children, but he couldn't have children on his own, so he could only adopt some children or he could find someone to bear their child for them after they fused the genesis.

This was the third day after he got discharged from the hospital. Today he planned to go to the supermarket to buy some stuff and some food. He bought quite a lot and told his bodyguard to take the car, he wanted to go to the restroom.

When he finished his business, he saw this scene. Belinda was washing her hand in the sink in the girl's restroom. Then, she walked out and met a group of people in black wear. She prepared to shout for help but before she could do anything, the man behind her had a small piece of clothing, proceeding his hand and putting it on her nose.

Belinda's consciousness then blanked out and she fainted. They carried her away to the parking lots. Ivan recognized the woman was Belinda, he was a little bit worried about her, so he followed silently behind those black wear men. They put her in a minivan and began to get in the car.

Ivan took this time to get in the van too. Those men were surprised when they saw him get in the car with them. Before they could say anything to threaten him, Ivan immediately told them.

"Take me with you! One more person disappeared doesn't matter to you guys anyway, and she is really important to someone so if she dies, you guys won't get away. But for me, it's okay. So go with it."

They were stunned a little bit because of his appearance, but they didn't care about that anymore and proceeded with their plan. They drove off the supermarket to the abandoned factory in the suburb of A city.
