Chapter 43: Race Evolution
Unlike last time, where Luke felt nothing but darkness for a brief moment before waking up to find that a long time had passed, Luke was completely awake this time.
He could feel his body, but he could sense around him. He could sense the faint traces of energy around him in the darkness, which did not last for a brief moment, but felt like it lasted forever.
A sudden sense of horror overtook his body as he remembered the madness he went through before he came to this place.
However, he calmed his heart after a few moments of intense fright.
"Sigh. I'm too old to worry about this anymore. My mental blood sugar is too low anyway." He lamented.
Luke decided it was wisest to simply wait for something to happen. He simply began to contemplate on the same question he had tried to comprehend when he was in the void last time.
"What is the-"
Just as he was contemplating this, he saw the grayish white fog once more. However, this time, he could see a little further into the fog. However, even though he could see around 25 meters into the fog, what met his gaze was only more fog.
Shrugging mentally, Merlin decided to use the same method he had used last time. He will, with all his might, to move forward.
As he moved, he reached the fog, and touched it, hoping to enter back to Earth, or even his Lucas body.
However, his hand simply passed through it the now half-translucent fog.
Being shocked for some time, Luke decided it would be best to try and reach the part of the fog that was completely opaque.
As soon as he touched it, he body trembled slightly as everything disappeared.
Opening his eyes, he found that he was in his very room, with no one present. As soon as he tried to get up, his hands slipped on something making him splash back into the bed.
Yes 'splash'. Turning back, Luke noticed that the entire bed was drenched in blood. His own blood to be precise.
It was at this moment that he noticed the abnormality in the blood in his body. It had turned golden!
Luke knew exactly what this was, it was the over-exertion of one's genes. This meant that he was on the verge of mutating into a hideous dragon monsters thing!
Realising this, Luke quickly opened his system and went through the options.

Seeing this, a smile appeared on Luke's face. A smile so horrifying that it would cause anyone present to shiver in fear.
'I knew it. The system doesn't want me to combine dragons and its own 'observer' evolution line. Kekeke. Then let's do it!"

While this was happening, Luke had felt the brief feeling of touching the fog, right after the access was denied.
However, before he could think into it, he was knocked out by the system, before waking up 2 days later.
