Chapter 12: Stop Worrying

''What do you think Amethyst need to talk about,' Jacob tap his fingers against the mahogany table.

''I don't know Jac...'' Dex exactly knows what they were talking about, but he wasn't just going to say it, well he hoped that they did talk it out and resolve it,'' just give them some time to warm up. You know how your brother is when it comes to new people, right?'' Dex reassures the younger.

Jacob was currently sulking in the mahogany table swirling the fork in his hands as Dex was sitting in front of him with a bunch of scrolls, he was practising medicine and wanted to know if the reaction was kind enough to be given to the poor.

Dex being the son of Apollo, a single father he was raised Dex to be a doctor had taken one of his uncles to step into medicine, He was going to be a musician and maybe fortune teller, but he wasn't allowed. After an incident that had passed, thousands of years ago music was something painful to remember, and one of the thing that was Dex was grateful about is not being able to have enhanced intuition like one of his brothers.

Being the son of Apollo, the gift of intuition was handed down from his father, but he didn't give it to Dex hoping to ease his son's burden. Therefore being only half intuition, he was living his life as it is.

''I hope Adriel's not giving it a hard time for her, she must feel a burden to suddenly appear to this world and to us,' he looks at the door Adriel and I went in,' she must feel scared finding another world.''

"I don't think you should worry about Amethyst to much, despite being the human she is I doubt she wouldn't be able to defend herself," Dex said calmly.

"But that's not the point Dex, I'm just worried alright? She looks so fragile when I saw her cry and she's making me do things I don't know I could do," Dex who was reading his scrolls looks at younger interested.

"She makes my heart go crazy, and I don't know why I have that feeling where I want to protect her at all cost, she doesn't look like she deserves all of this." It didn't have to take a genius to know what Jacob was feeling, but it was sure something he had never felt before, and he was afraid of the feeling. But Dex just smiles as he consults the younger with a pat in the back.

"I think we both know what you are feeling, but I think it's much better if you figure it out by yourself and admit them," He said as he sat back," if I were to say it you would have fallen into denial."

Jacob sighs yet again as he looks at the door that was separating us with them, it was silence, whatever we had talked about was not transmitted outside the walls, well it was better that way. Dex saw his younger brother who was staring at the door intensely hoping that it would somehow break down, well he could if he wanted too, but Jacob respected her privacy and Adriel would have killed him either way for breaking his doors.

''hey...'' Dex tousled Jacob's locks,'' Amethyst is strong alright, even though she's human she's full of energy, and I know well that Adriel wouldn't do anything to her," He chuckles.

The younger sigh as he looks over the door.

Jacob then looks at his brother who was back at reading the scrolls in silent.

"Do you think Adriel likes Amethyst?" Jacob asks suddenly, and Dex looks up at the younger in sweat, Dex was the worst liar in Olympus but had to, he couldn't break his younger brothers heart, and he had a bad feeling a civil war might happen over the three. Amethyst was playing a dangerous game between Olympus two mighty demigods without her knowing, something that could be started might not be ended.

Dex doesn't need that, he couldn't let his trauma go on again with his brothers.

''What?''

''I mean do you think Adriel like 'Likes' Amethyst?" Dex could only sigh and shrug hoping hid face could facade the lies.

''I don't know...'' Jacob looks at his older brother, who answered monotonously.

"Why? What do you think about her that makes you think Adriel likes her?" Dex asked as he wanted to know.

''I don't know how attraction really works Dex, but I know the moment I met her she was a bit different, a good one too, she makes my heart do things. She makes me feel giddy for some reason.' Dex heard the younger boy and unconsciously smile," She is also sweet it would be weird to unlike, and even the cold Adriel wouldn't be that mean to someone like that?"

"That is true she is nice, and I don't think she is the kind of person to create chaos, and I don't think Adriel would hate her, maybe a little dislike with the term 'Human' but no hate," Dex explains.

" You explain Amethyst like you known her your whole life?" Dex tease as Jacob groans.

"Can we please talk about something else? I think my heart might burst thinking about it over and over again, gosh I sound like a lovesick puppy, and I haven't even known her long enough to be this confusing," Dex laughs, that's what you call love it hits you like a truck and then leave you like your nothing, he thought.

''Well, I hope you figure it out Jacob," Dex once again comfort the younger.

''Thanks, Dex...''

As they both were talking a sudden crash and shout was heard alarming the two demigods sitting outside. In an instant, Jacob came running in as Dex follows behind.

''THEN SO WHAT !''

''HOW COULD YOU SAY THAT JUST BECAUSE WE KISSED !''

Jacob heard the last part of the conversation.

Oh boy, how you could hear how shattered his heart was.

"Thy?" he sounded so broken.

"ADRIEL YOUR FAVORITE BIG BROTHER HAS RETURN !''

Can this day get any worst?
