Chapter 8: Trouble in Paradise
Then he's off, I looked over Adriel and grab the towel and dip it inside the water, and I stood up beginning to clean the edge of the torso that was smeared with the blood Jacob didn't manage to clean and gently I start to dribble a little of water so I wipe it off. While doing so I could see Adriel scrunching his nose a little bit trying to hold the pain.
He's a demigod isn't he supposed to heal fast? I wondered, reading so much about them made me wonder a lot of stuff and as far as I know, the books were not lying that despite being only half gods they were still as powerful as any human could be, stronger than their parents even.
Gently I wipe the excess blood and start to blow a little when I heard a moan.

My eyebrows scrunch at that, Whoever this Moira is she manages to make Son of Hades tremble, and I need to know
My thoughts were interrupted by Jacob as he walks back with a silver plate full of herbs. He sat down across me and started to put the assorted herbs in Adriel's torso.
''I thought that people like you would you know heal faster?'' my curiosity broke the silence.
''Well, we do heal fast but we're just demigods not 'official' gods yet, since our parents are still you know, reigning. So we try to find ways to cure our inflicted wound,' he tries to help Adriel,' beside it's like they'll give up anything they have for us, it's their man for their own.'
Silence took over the whole room once again.
''hey it's late I know humans need those sle-''
''Whose is she, that we're talking about?'
''The woman... Moira? Adriel mumbled her name before you came.''
''oh...'' his soft doe eyes look at me and he looks conflicted over how he should tell me or how he's going to tell me.
''I would really like to tell you, but really isn't my place to tell, how about you asked him yourself, I think that would have been better, but what I can tell you is, she is not bad if that's what you're wondering,'' he smiles as he cleans the place up.
Jacob looks over his brother as he sighs,'' Adriel's not the type lose control if he did something or someone night have triggered him, only privilege people are able to actually move him.'' He smiles to me,'' so that means you must be really special to him, he knows those shards, wouldn't kill me, it might hurt but it wouldn't kill me.'
'But when he saw you in the way he stood in front of you and took the shard injuring himself, you must be special Thy.''
He took my hands,'' come on, let him rest, he might be grumpy if he knows we're here in his room.''
I look back at Adriel and smiles, I guess mister grumpy does have a heart.

It's been 5 days.
It's been 5 days since Adriel decided to take a hit for you
It's been 5 days since Jacob decides to introduce to you one of Olympians' best doctor Dex Lancaster, or as we all know Son of Apollo. It feels like just yesterday that you've met the really giddy demigod.
It's been 3 hours since Adriel woke up.
It's been 20 minutes since Jacob looks in my direction as his burning gaze was burning behind my back.
It's been 30 seconds since both Dex and Adriel looked over the tension you both held.
It's also been 10 times Dex has to nudge Adriel to say something and as usual, Adriel held his glare at the younger.
And it's been 2 days 5 hours 42 minutes and 34 seconds since I had 'accidentally' did something.

''So, you are THE Dex Lancaster?' I asked him, looking at the over smiley demigod.
''The one and only sugarplum, now if you excuse me I would like to safe my friend before he drags his dead body back here from hell.''
''He can do that?'' I stutter asking Jacob who was rolling over at his brother's remark.
''No he can't do that,'' he sighs,'' as I told you already... we're not as mighty as our parents yet so that means we are still demigod and we still can feel the pain and all those things a human can feel, it just that we heal a lot faster than a normal human,' he smiles.
''Don't worry Amethyst, we're still the same as you,'' Dex smiles,'' but just slightly a bit more beautiful than human that is,'' smirking his way to Adriel.
Dex Lancaster was one of those people you meet who instantly click. After sending the letter to his place he immediately went to the cave, he was pleased enough not to question about me and why I'm here and it looks like he didn't mind either.
''Yeah and that too,'' Jacob smiles at me.
''Come on thy, let us see what Dex has for Adriel,'' he led me forward.
''Wait, Jac,'' unaware of what I did and had grabbed his hands to stop him from moving any further. I held his right arms in his palm and the left hand at his elbow, completely stopping himself from going further, he was confused as he looks at my unsettling face.
''Hey thy, what's wrong?'' he looks at my direction. He looks at my concern face.
''Jac, I have a really weird feeling about your friend there, he just saw a human, does he know I'm a human? Is he going to bring to those kinds of judge here in Olympia and I got thrown in jail? How can he be so calm after seeing me? Jac be honest to me, am I going to die... what if the other god or goddess find me or even the other demigods is after me?' you kept rambling your thought when you feel a slight tear had slipped and in instance a pair of hands manage to find its way to your cup your face.
'Hey... what made you think about that I-"
"Jac, he smiled at me as if this is a normal thing that's been happening lately,' I told him worriedly, despite Dex's bright and bubbly personality it made you wonder over the over-smiling demigod.
''hey...'' he tilt my head upward as he looks to me and I felt my eyes lose at Jungkook doe eyes,'' hey... you don't have to worry alright''? He wipes the tear in my face,'' I'm still here and I promise not to leave you, you could always run back to me alright I'll protect you.''
You smile and nodded,'' you don't have to worry about Dex, in case you forgot or you don't know Artemis, my mother, and Dex father is technically twins so he and I are brothers and I trust him enough not to tell and he knows about you being human, every god and goddess have a stamp print. You send one without any so Dex knew something was up.''
''Oh...'' I was wiping my face as I squat and I look down and silence took over until a tear suddenly slid down my cheeks and wipe them, Jacob who was looking suddenly felt bad.
''I'm sorry this must have been a little bit too much for a human can handle, I didn't realize it could not just affect you physically but also mental health.'' He waves his hand and a chair suddenly floats to the both of us. He took my hands and led us to sit while I try to compose myself, I'm not usually this emotional but right now I feel like I could cry a river.
Suddenly I felt a hand wipes my cheeks and I look up to see Jacob's hand caressing my cheeks, rubbing it gently, and we stare into each other until I look away.
Jacob took his hands as his cheeks also flush before rubbing his nape.
