--244 AC, Kevan Lannister is born at Casterly Rock. Prince Aerys Targaryen is born at the Red Keep.
--245 AC, Princess Rhaella Targaryen is born at the Red Keep.
--249 AC, Joanna Lannister, first cousin to Tywin Lannister, is born at Casterly Rock.
--255 AC, Gerion Lannister, The Laughing Lion, is born at Casterly Rock.
--259 AC, Prince Rhaegar Targaryen, son of Aerys and his sister/wife Rhaella, is born at Summerhall.
--260 AC, The War of the Ninepenny Kings. The campaign ended at the Stepstones. Ser Tywin Lannister leads the forces of the Westerlands in his father's place. After the battle, Ser Tywin knights Prince Aerys Targaryen.
--260 AC, Ser Barristan Selmy kills a member of the Band of Nine, Maelys Blackfyre, also known as Maelys the Monstrous.
--260 AC, Brandon Stark, heir to Winterfell, is born.
--261 AC, Upon returning from the Ninepenny war, Tywin learns of how his family is viewed due to his weak father. Ser Tywin calls for the immediate repayment of all loans House Lannister gave out. Ser Harys Swyft sends his 10 year-old daughter, Dorna Swyft, to Casterly Rock, as a hostage until his debts are paid. Houses Reyne and Tarbeck laughed and convinced Lord Tytos Lannister to forgive their huge debts.
--261 AC, Ser Tywin calls Houses Reyne and Tarbeck to answer for crimes. This started the Reyne-Tarbeck Rebellion, giving Ser Tywin the authority to extinguish both houses. House Reyne of Castamere and House Tarbeck of Tarbeck Hall are executed by Tywin's army.
--262 AC, Prince Aerys II Targaryen succeeds the Iron Throne after his father's death. The newly crowned King Aerys names Ser Tywin, his Hand of the King.
--262 AC, Robert Baratheon was born during the middle of this year in Storm's End.
--263 AC, Eddard Stark, the second son of Rickard Stark, is born.
--263 AC, Tywin Lannister and Joanna Lannister are married in the Great Sept of Balor, in King's Landing.
--266 AC, Jaime and Cersei Lannister are born at Casterly Rock.
--266 AC, Kevan and Dorna are married late into the year. Dorna was 15 years old, Kevan was 22. It was a marriage based on love.
--267 AC, Tytos, the Toothless Lion, Lannister dies of heart failure at Casterly Rock.
--271 AC, At the age of 16, Gerion Lannister spends one full year touring the Free Cities for his Coming of Age tour.
--273 AC, Tyrion is born. Joanna Lannister, wife of Tywin and mother of Jaime, Cersei and Tyrion, dies shortly after giving birth to Tyrion.
--274 AC, Robert Baratheon and Eddard Stark are sent to foster with Jon Arryn of the Vale.
--276 Viserys Targaryen is born in the Red Keep.
--277 AC, At the age of 11, Jaime Lannister is sent to squire for Lord Summber at Crakehall. The Defiance of Duskendale. King Aerys travels to Duskendale to settle the matter of them not paying taxes, and is taken prisoner for 6 months. King Aerys is rescued by Ser Selmy. Houses Darklyn and Holland are both executed and House Rykker takes over the town of Duskendale. This is the start of Aery's madness. He doesn't leave the Red Keep until 281.
--279 AC, King Aerys denies Lord Tywin's proposal to wed Prince Rhaegar to his daughter Cersei. King Aerys sends his cousin, Steffon Barathen to Essos, to find a suitable match for his son, the crowned prince. Steffon and his wife are lost at sea during a storm of the coast of Storm's End. Prince Rhaegar is betrothed to Princess Elia Martell of Dorne. Tywin is furious at being spurned by King Aerys.
--280 AC, Prince Rhaegar is married to Princess Elia in the Great Sept of Baelor. The first child, Princess Rhaenys is born at the end of the year.
--281 AC, Tourney of Harrenhal. Jaime Lannister was sworn into the Kingsguard at the age of 15, by King Aerys. Tywin resigns as Hand of the King in angry protest and returns to Casterly Rock. Kevan was not in attendance due to his wife announcing she was pregnant with Lancel. Prince Rhaegar wins the tourney and crowns Lyanna Stark, Robert Baratheon's betrothed, his queen of love and beauty.

--282 3/12 Loras Tyrell, the Knight of the Flowers, is born.
--282 ?? Prince Rhaegar 'abducts' Lyanna Stark.
--282 ?? Brandon Stark travels to Kings Landing from Riverrun with his friends to plead for justice to the king. King Aerys has all of them thrown in the Black Dungeons.
--282 ?? Upon hearing of the arrest of his heir, Brandon, Lord Rickard Stark travels to Kings Landing to plead for his son's life.
--282 ?? Aerys kills them both and demands the heads of Robert Baratheon and Eddard Stark from their guardian, Jon Arryn. The three houses rise up in rebellion, and start the War of the Usurper.

--283 AC 7th month- Robert Baratheon kills Prince Rhaegar at the Battle of the Trident.
Tywin takes Kings Landing, and Jaime kills King Aerys and the pyromancer to prevent the wildfire plot. Princess Elia Martell and her two children are murdered by Ser Gregor Clegane and Ser Amory Lorch.
--283 8/02 Jon Snow is born.
--283 8/03 Ned Stark arrives at the Tower of Joy.
--283 8/19 Ned returns to King's Landing with Jon, his alleged bastard, and the body of his sister, Lyanna Stark.
--283 9/17 Robb Stark is born.
--283 10/01 Robert is Crowned
--283 12/01 Robert is married to Cersei Lannister.

At the start of the year, King Robert and his brother Stannis build a new fleet to take the last Targaryen holdfast left.
--284 2nd month Cersei miscarries Robert's unborn child.
--284 4th month Joffrey Baratheon is conceived.
--284 4/08 Stannis and the Royal Fleet depart to take Dragonstone.
--284 4/10 Daenerys Targaryen is born on Dragonstone during a summer storm.
--284 4/13 The storm wipes out most of the new royal fleet, and allows Ser Willem Darry to escape to Braavos with Daenerys and Viserys.
--284 4/16 Stannis and the remainder of the Royal Fleet arrive at Dragonstone.
