"About Mother… do you want me to talk to her?" Tang Beixuan asked. He wanted to at least lessen the burden on his sister's shoulder. It must be really hard for her for the past months, dealing with all the problems Tang Zhelan had left in the company while trying to keep their mother at bay with her insults.

"You worry too much, Beixuan. It's nothing that I can't deal with." The empress rejected his offer. What change could he make anyway? There was no way in hell that Zhang Wuying would let her be, and she didn't want the old woman to know that she already knew about her birth mother.
